Palin at AIPAC: That Didn’t Take Long

MSNBC and the Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA) are reporting that Gov. Palin met this afternoon with the board of directors of the America Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and Sen. Joe Lieberman to, in the words of one McCain campaign official cited by MSNBC, put “the American Jewish community at ease over her understanding of US-Middle East relations.” It’s worth noting that Palin, who has obviously been completely off-limits to reporters since she was rolled out as McCain’s running-mate in Dayton Friday, stiffed a reception in her honor sponsored by none other than Phyllis Schlafly a couple hours later. (One wonders what other lobbies have tried to arrange a meeting with Palin in the last 96 hours and with what success.)

“We had a good productive discussion on the importance of the U.S.-Israel relationship, and we were pleased that Gov. Palin expressed her deep, personal, and lifelong commitment to the safety and well-being of Israel,” AIPAC spokesman Josh Block said after the meeting. “Like Sen. McCain, the vice presidential nominee understands and believes in the special friendship between the two democracies and would work to expand and deepen the strategic partnership in a McCain/Palin Administration.”

“She was extremely well received,” McCain campaign spokesman Michael Goldfarb said, noting that Palin was interrupted by applause twice,” according to the JTA account. He added that Palin spoke about “the relationship between Israel and American national security, and the threats to Israel from Iran and others.”

Evidence of nervousness in the McCain campaign about Palin’s impact on Jewish voters and donors was made clear when the Likudist Republican Jewish Coalition circulated a video of her Alaska office in which it found a small Israeli flag, in the words of Politico, “poking out from behind a drape.”

“I think it speaks volumes that she keeps an Israeli flag on the wall of her office,” RJC’s executive director, Matt Brooks, told Politico in an e-mail. “It clearly shows what’s in her heart.” Politico’s analysis is well worth reading. As I noted Friday, a Nexis search of the two years previous to her selection as McCain’s running-mate failed to find a single published article in which Palin ever mentioned Israel. I suspect it may make it into her acceptance speech Wednesday night.

You said a mouthful, Andy.

I don’t know whether Palin was all hot and bothered about Israel before Mad Bomber McInsane tapped her for VP. In any case, though, you can be sure that McInsane, “Zionist Joe” LIEberman, and others made sure she got with the program. You know, that Israel controls “American policy” in the Middle East, that Israel gets whatever it wants from America, that Americans should fight and die for Israel, and the like.

Representative Ron Paul is virtually the only one in Washington who hasn’t sold out to the Israel Lobby. Too bad that the DemoPublican Party’s two candidates–McInsane and Saint Barack of Obama–are AIPAC-owned-and-operated.

She’s a long-time fundamentalist, so, yes, the likelihood is that she’s been hot and bothered about Israel for most of her life. For her own purposes, of course: Israel has a role in the future history the Armeggedonites have dreamed up. (Read up in Hal Lindsey’s books or the Left Behind series for the details of the future.) If the real Israelis don’t go along with what the fundies think they should do, so much the worse for them.

As for Palestinians, they are like American Indians, and exist only to get out of the way, make way for Israel, and the End of Days.

Comment by Rodrigo

Well we don’t “know”, but the questions is what is the most reasonable opinion?

1) That she is tricking the Lobby (in which case, btw, she is insincere deceptive person)

or

2) That she is yet another politician submitting to AIPAC?

the weight of the evidence suggests 2). She has no credentials fighting the israeli lobby and in on record supporting the war in iraq.

Basically she is a half-hearted Buchananite…with, like Pat, a tendency towards the establishment. In event, if she is a paleo-con, she’s sold out to be VP.

“How do you know that Palin isn’t doing this just to trick the Israel lobby?”

We know because, like Mother Nature, you don’t “trick” The Israeli Lobby! Raging ‘anti-Semite’ that I am, you don’t “trick” them, talk bad about them, discuss their ethnicity, their loyalties, label ANY of their deeds “nefarious”(even when they are), critcize them in any way, never, EVER vote against ANY of their agendas, or even DARE to notice they even exist! That is, of course, what America is all about these days, and you must learn that this is our “greatest strength.” And, as a standard “American” politician, Ms. Palin WILL learn this lesson, either the easy way or the hard way, whichever it takes.

This private showing was inevitable. Lew Rockwell pointed yesterday to developments along these lines as being likely .

The Likudist ownership of our political institutions is now so out-in-the-open, so absolutely shameless that it begins to display an element of hubris. The name and experience of Jack Abramov emerge into conciousness as perhaps prophetic. At one point a mistake is made and the American people exact a price? Not likely soon enough to keep us out of war with Iran or Russia. But perhaps such a war is the very mistake described, if we survive it.

There will be no war with Russia, they are the natural friend. US has no ideological or other reasons. Middle east and eventually China can be a problem.

Probably current threat to this country is from Israeli economic intelligence, as they try to move unsuccessfully from war oriented economy to a more productive one.

Palin had to be cleared by AIPAC? Seems odd, especially considering the fact that the members of AIPAC are traitors to America. How else to describe people who advance the cause of a FOREIGN NATION above the fate of their own country, who promote government action that they KNOW would do great harm to America - such as wrecking the US economy by bombing Iran and doubling the price of fuel - during a supposed ‘time of war’ at that. If these same acts were carried out by some clowns in the pay of Russia, they’d have been arrested long ago.
US foreign policy will never improve until the AIPAC tumor is removed - permanently.

The Israeli press had said many American citizens there were expressing doubts about her, both because of the resounding welcome she got from Christian conservatives and because of a rumor that over a decade ago, someone totally once saw her wearing a Pat Buchanan button.

Sounds ridiculous, but don’t forget all the hoops Obama had to jump through over things like buying his house from a Muslim guy or wearing a headwrap on a visit to Africa.

Its all part of the game, but I don’t think its so much to placate Israel itself as to get candidates to commit to a continuation of the same belligerent foreign policy that has stood our country in such questionable stead for the past half century plus.

Makes me wonder what the vetting process is for VP. What do the McCain operatives think about as they sit around and toss names out… the VP’s most important job is framing the election. After inauguration, VP can go back into obscurity where he/she came from.

What sort of grilling did AIPAC give Palin? I wonder how anybody handles this. What thoughts must go through one’s mind? “Hmmm, I don’t really give a fig about Israel, but if I tell the truth, I get no access to the money and the media…” What to do? Ron Paul wouldn’t support Israel FIRST, so he got shut out of the media. I would think anyone without Paul’s integrity (in this situation) approaches it in a calculated manner. “In order to get what I want, I have to dance to their tune.” Maybe later you can dance to your own tune, but then again, maybe you can’t.

At the end of the day, the only people who truly care about Israel are the Jews. Ultimately, any support they get from anyone else is shaky and uncertain; it is a house built upon the sand, support gained through fear and manipulation. What a life! I’m glad it’s not mine.

Speaking niceties before the king-makers is a matter of course. Her ticket will never make it to November should she question the obvious merits of Jewtopia, and crypto-British Marxist rule. I should be interested to see how far her Zionist sentiments go, and most of all if she is on board with yet more WAR. So far, she has not distinguished herself as independent of the London/Tel Aviv/DC criminals. I guess what I am wondering is whether Palin will sell herself out like a whore, or conduct herself as a dignified and principled leader. Since I hope that she will do the latter, I will wait for her to make it clear to all. Does she represent a notion that the RNC has changed course and is trying desperately to signal this to all America, or is she the latest chapter in political psychological warfare, an image to be bought and used. I feel even more deeply offended than ever at the real likelihood that she is a fraud, because this one trumps the “Magical Mulatto” in sophisticated mass deception, if it is so.

AIPAC, an arm of the Israeli government, masquerading as a domestic political action committee, uses espionage, blackmail, intimidation and coercion, in its mission of subverting the US Government to its needs in becoming a military power that can threaten all who oppose its will. They have accomplished that goal. America has become a vassal state that pays tribute to Tel-Aviv amounting to hundreds of $billions over the past twenty years. The blood of thousands of Americans has been spilt in Israel’s pursuit of power and wealth.

Thanks for bringing this point up. Entirely too much is made about any candidate’s “foreign policy experience,” when really what we need is someone with sound principles and good judgment. Of course, nowadays America demands that its president be a generalissimo who’s always neck deep in foreign affairs and adventures, and that’s exactly what we shouldn’t have.

Orv. Larson makes a good point too, pointing out that in Sarah Palin’s acceptance speech she dumps her previous good sense and adopts–at least for the convention’s purpose–the view of the presidency as world cop and missile-armed Messiah.

Looks like her antiwar supporters will have to hope that her groveling to Israel is insincere, just as Obama’s antiwar supporters are hoping that his pandering is insincere. But this is not symmetrical. She’s an undereducated, untraveled, proudly ignorant, creationist, crudely populist, Christian-Zionist, semi-theocratic crackpot, and he is none of those things. It is a given the Bush Administration and the Kosher Klub known as the “Neo-Cons” brought much destruction to what is left of the Republic but we do not need Obama and his Marxist revolution of “change.”

Pollard…Rosenbergs….Lavon affair…USS Liberty….Arrested Israelis on 9/11…Israeli funnelling of American military equipment to China and South-American narcoterrorists…..And we should give a damn about Israels “safety”, when they have slashed mercilessly at ours for decades?…..This country need a MAJOR enema real, real soon. Our very existence may depend on it.

Israeli influnce goes deeper than just the national level. It has penetrated the local and municipa level, justice and legal system. Some example such as closing down of Muslim charties that were helping the Palestnians, and ordeal of Dr.Sami Al-Arian .

SONG FOR THE PEOPLE OF EARTH

People of Earth
Hear Me Now,
I’ve come from a distant Star
To Be Here Now,
Right Here Where You Are,
To Be With You in Love,
In Love and Truth and Light,
To Set Things Wrong Aright,
To Lead You to Your Soul,
The Heaven You’ve been Told
Is In and All Around You,
It’s Miracles Astound You,
For I Am You
And We
Shall Ever Always Be
In Love Forevermore,
As It Was Before
When It All Began
The Harmony of Man
Comes Shining from the Sun,
And Each and Every One
Shall come to Live as LOVE
The Lion and the Dove,
The Shephard and the Lamb,
I Am That I Am,
I Am That I Become.

People of Earth
Hear Me True
For I Am Really You
And Nothing that I Say
Will Ever Go Away
The Beauty That Is Real
Is All Our Hearts Shall Feel
When Each and Everyone
Knows All and All Is One.

P.S.: If you want World PEACE, then please Read and Recommend “THE ART OF PEACE” by Morihei Ueshiba, (founder of Aikido - the martial art of love), to Everyone you Know and Love. Thank You. (So Be It.)

Back in the day, any Democrat running for president had to make two pilgrimages — one to AFL-CIO headquarters to grovel before whoever headed that union at the moment, the other to Chicago to grovel before Richard Daley. Now anyone of either party seeking to be president or VP must grovel before AIPAC. Same disgusting song, different verse.
