Cheney Ambushed at CPAC

Youthful libertarians at the CPAC conference, now going on in Washington, ambush Dick Cheney — who’s getting a “Defender of the Constiution” award! — calling him a “war criminal” as the neocons chant “USA USA!!” in their usual “four-legs-good-two-legs-bad” style.

This is no ordinary heckling — because it’s happening inside the conservative tent, where Cheney is supposed to feel comfortable. To hear oneself denounced as a war criminal in that context has got to be unnerving.

  1. Slight correction, although it is laughable…
Cheney was there as a "surprise guest" to introduce Rumsfeld. Ol' Rummy is the receiver of the “Defender of the Constitution” award! One war criminal congratulating another war criminal, all while shaking hands, smiling, and mumbling something about the Constitution…
I think this is another prime example of what you refer to as Bizzaro World.

    1. “Defender of the Constitution”.What?Have they lost their minds?

But then In Amerika everything now is upside is down.Wrong is right,Darkness is light.

    2. Rumsfeld a "Defender of the Constitution"? Hell, if I had my way, Dubya, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Rice, and the rest of 'em would be facing war crimes charges.

  2. I read the headline and for a moment thought that maybe that old guy he went hunting with finally got his revenge…

  3. Well, Cheney certainly deserves some sort of recognition: five deferments to escape the Vietnam War must be a record for the state of Wyoming.

  4. I don't think anything unnerves Dick Cheney. He will probably live forever like Fidel Castro and daddy Bush.

    1. Like all rich and powerful people, he enjoys a highly protected and insulated environment. Still…sometimes Karma can work in mysterious ways…sometimes..

  5. What, no chants of "f*** you, Cheney!" this time?

Now THAT might have brought back some memories.

  6. Of course Rumdum is a defender of the Constitution. He hides it in his toilet for its own protection.

  7. Who knows? Perhaps, just perhaps our friends in the Spanish legal system will perservear and indict the "Bushies." There is an effort to do just that. The search for justice recently forced Bush (43) to cancel his trip to Switzerland for fear of arrest.

  8. Surprise guest???
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy…………NOT!!! Actually I'm surprised Cheney didn't ask for 5-deferments before he accepted the invitation to attend the function.
I still develop hives remembering him putting flowers at the TOMB of the UNKNOWN.

  9. What a sorry state of affair. That there is still a large segment of the American people who give honour and bestow respect on those sociopaths.

  10. I am proud of these youth
    its about time
Cheney , Bush, Rove, Ashcroft and Rice
need to be called to the carpet
they are all guilty of war crimes and treason
and mass murder! They knew what they were doing and are completely responsible for the undermining and deceipt of the Amerikkkan people!

  11. Do the stand down orders still stand Dicko? Of course they do, have you heard anything to the contrary. We want all planes to hit their targets.

  12. For lots of the visitors to the Columbia River Gorge although, the actual motion is right down on the water, the place daredevils can get their adrenaline fix from a visit thorough raging white waters, while the extra sedate river lover can indulge themselves with a calming float in a easy row boat or sturdy canoe along one of many many quiet backwaters. Imagine your self gliding along the surface of water at 30-35 km per hour without having to sink. My Genes Reconnected
