John Glaser on RT Talking Drones

  1. Nope. Nothing to worry about here. Just another story pointing out the mortal danger that drones represent. No need to worry until one's pointed at you, bored American. Of course, then it's too late but hey – no worries – life was good until they took it from you, right?
No? Too bad loser. This is the New Normal America.

  2. Um, okay, question. I live in the capital of VA and nearly every night over the last few months, I have been seeing, low and slow flying aircraft. I have been convinced that these are drones. So convinced that I would come home and research to see if anyone else has noticed. What I found was a listing of drone sites released by the FAA in response to a lawsuit by the Electronic Frontier Foundations Freedom of Information Act lawsuit. And guess what? My city (and area of the city) was listed as a drone site. https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2012/04/faa-release

So what I'm not understanding is why they don't just say that this is already happening. Not that it might happen in the future, or that they would like to use it here and there, but that it's already happening! So sneaky! But then again, only a few people are paying attention or even care, which is the saddest part about it. Do people really think we'll be safer with these things flying around? Do they know what's been happening to civilians overseas with no apologies? Great job on RT by the way. :)

  3. If you see a drone and it's not clearly marked so you can identify it, the correct response is to shoot it down. After all, it might be one of those Terrorist Drones(tm) we've been warned about, and you certainly don't want the proof to be a mushroom cloud, do you? If you don't have the capability to shoot it down, report it immediately to every government agency you can get in touch with, and alert every local media outlet as well (for more fun and amusement, tell them you think you saw an Iranian flag painted on the side of the thing). Drive through your neighborhood with a bullhorn alerting everyone to the presence of an unidentified, possibly terrorist, drone flying overhead.

Repeat as needed every time you spot one. One can imagine what the local police department will do when there is a line of people filing police reports on an unidentified drone in their area.

  5. I think it really takes very little time to understand that what is going on is an attempt to use censorship as a means of influencing public opinion, by silencing your critics and enabling or empowering those who present the party line, said Scott Horton, a human rights lawyer and Harpers blogger.houston winter limo
