Paul spoke out against the proposed intervention and will file legislation to stop President Obama from launching a war against the Assad regime without Congressional authorization.
I really despise the Libertarian Right Winger love of capitalism. However, Ron Paul and antiwar.com aren't scared to discuss the US attack on the Assad regime as is the humanitarian Left. Go to marxism list and see a scene that reminds one of the rule by Joe Stalin, all with the cheerleading participation of 'Troskyist' left overs from the SWP led antiwar movement of the late '60s/ early '70s. If you attack the so-called Syrian opposition there on that list for being a tool of the US and its imperialist allies, they will boot you off list in no time at all. Free speech is simply not their thing.
Or go to International Socialists and it's as if Syria did not exist! At Znet it's some little bit of babble about nothing at all, but basically they too keep the lid on any real commentary about the US attack on Syria, Iran, and their allies. Discussion might call into question about how they do not try to mobilize anybody against the continuation of the US's Middle East wars under Obama.
Defending Syria from imperialist attack definitely has not made the US Left, or English speaking Left as a whole, shine.

I know Russia and china continue to veto any action but the situation there is out of control and needs to be stopped. Will they eventually let the UN take action or will they keep vetoing? The two largest cities in Syria are peaceful, Damascus and Aleppo. If the revolution ever spreads there then may be we can see any foreign intervention (US, NATO, etc) in syria.
