Mystery Man Behind the ‘Innocence’ video — first photo

The last time anyone saw Nakoula Bassely Nakoula, he was wearing a scarf wrapped around his head as he was being escorted into a police car for a midnight visit to his probation officer. However, TMZ has  uncovered a rare photo of the “producer” of “Innocence of Muslims,” the Youtube video that set the Middle East ablaze. Here he is on the set of “Innocence,” leering at one of the actresses.

  1. I keep hearing conflicting reports as to who the guy was and who paid for the production of that filthy film. Is he Israeli or Egyptian or both? Did Jews and Christian groups really pay for the film?

On day one of 9-11 we knew all about the19 cave dwellers from the other side of the world, who reportedly were responsible for the attack, but a big mystery about someone convicted in the US of a felony.

  2. From what i gather, he's an Egyptian Coptic Christian (not particularly religious, apparently) living in California. In one interview, he claimed to be Israeli, but the reporter even wrote that his accent sounded Egyptian. From the beginning, when this was first shown in Egyptian TV, they said it was made by a Copt, and the Coptic church condemned it right away.

The guy is on probation or parole or something after being convicted and jailed for fraud, has used many aliases, and seems to have been involved in setting up a meth lab or something, too…

I don't think anyone knows if any Jews paid for the film. In the interview where he claimed to be Israeli, he also claimed that he had gotten $5 million in donations from Jews, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Steve Klein was involved, and another Egyptian Copt in the US promoted it on his website.

(Snugtop, the director they used was a guy who had done soft porn films, and he brought some of his actresses with him.)
