Turkish PM Calls Israel a ‘Terrorist State,’ US State Dept. Refuses to Comment

Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan accused Israel of carrying out terrorism in Gaza:

“Those who associate Islam with terrorism close their eyes in the face of mass killing of Muslims, turn their heads from the massacre of children in Gaza,” Erdogan told a conference of the Eurasian Islamic Council in Istanbul.

“For this reason, I say that Israel is a terrorist state, and its acts are terrorist acts,” he said.

In the State Department’s press briefing today, AP reporter Matt Lee pressed for some response to this statement (I will post the video when it’s available):

See here for another of Matt Lee’s impressive berating of US propaganda and orthodoxy on Israel.

  1. This seems like clear 'anti-antisemitism' to me.

Providing Patriot missiles, or any 'weapons' for that matter, to extremists who consider our 'special friend' Israel a "terrorist state" could have apocalyptic consequences… Israel could be 'wiped off the map'…

Proceedings to expel Turkey from NATO should commence immediately.

    1. And you are going to demand from Rat Mussen, the head of NATO militarism regime in Denmark to expel Turkey from NATO…,? Good idea.., and god luck. But before you start writing your letters and while at it, why not demand the same thing for British, French the Germans or the Swedish cooperation with NATO, after all NATO was built to defend Europe in case USSR attacked it, that never happened, but NATO is operating widely for last 20 years feeding the Syrian sunny terrorism and others that managed to divide Syrian nation, so why not demanding for NATO to be demolished, so as the USA militarism regime all together.., demanding to leave the entire Middle East taking Israel with them while at it. Isn't this a better idea then just asking for Turkey to be expelled from NATO.

      1. Mojo…the other nations mentioned have not yet violated "international law"…

I forgot to mention that Mr. Erdogan should be personally indited for 'genocide incitation' per the "Genocide Convention" and promptly sent to the Hague to receive the "full extent of international law and justice" accordingly.

        Never forget…

        1. You are simply out of touch with reality, USA and Europe been committing war crimes since Vietnam war, then Balkan, then Afghanistan, then Iraq and supplying a terrorist based states with weapon knowing that it will be used against civilians is a war crime, helping terrorism in Syria is a war crime, wanting to divide nations is crime against humanity…, what is happening in Gaza is nation cleansing of the Palestinians, 2 million of them are been prisoned in their homes by Israel is a crime against humanity, that's what Hitler did to Jewish people, the ones whom were against fascism, those whom helped Hitler to power are those whom ruling the banks, the oil companies and other economic institutions in both EU and USA, those are the ones who rule the present Israelis government as we speak, those who help to divide nations are those whom are the Neo Liberal fascism all over the Europe.., those who base their politics as a falsified democracy or social democracy as the French right wing social democrats are. International law needs to be respected by all side not those who are after their "interests" blaming everything on the past forgetting the present time.

          1. Mojo…I'm not entirely sure what any of this has to do with the 'terrorist' Erdogan. I'm simply baffled by this situation. How can the US simply hand over Patriot missiles, or any weapons for that matter, to a "regime" which calls "Israel" a "terrorist state"? I thought this was the very 'reason' why Iran can't be trusted to enrich uranium and needs to be bombed in the first place…

            Am I missing something?

        2. A brief history lesson for Ben. Both France, Britain, and the U.S. have committed serial war crimes of the most despicable nature. The worst offender against humanity and international law is Israel. "Never forget" is a good reminder, and I say that the families of all the people that Israel has murdered and assassinated will "Never forget." Nor will I, neither Arab, Moslem, Jew, Baptist, etc. I reply to you, Ben, that I will "Never forget." And perhaps you should remember that what goes around comes around.

    2. What on earth is controversial about calling Israel a 'terrorist state'. Anyone with eyes has seen that for years. The good news is that some people are willing to say it publicly. Probably has to do with Israeli pirates boarding a Turkish ship in international waters and murdering nine people, including an American citizen, with shots to the back of the head, all because they dared to try to bring building supplies to Gaza to help rebuild some of the stuff, like schools and hospitals and refugee centers, that Israel blew up the last time they went on one of these terror rampages.

Israel is a terrorist state. Israel constantly violates and flaunts UN resolutions. Israel has a rogue nuclear weapons program with hundreds of nuclear weapons stored and delivery systems that could take out most of Europe. Israel is the state that can't seem to go for five years without attacking its neighbors. Israel is the state that illegally occupies land it stole, and imprisons and tortures the rightful occupants of the land. Israel is the state that has snipers that enjoy shooting children in the head. Israel is the terrorist state that is bombing media outlets in Gaza in a vain attempt to prevent the rest of the world from seeing its crimes. Israel is the terrorist state that this weekend blew up a house and wiped out three generations of a family.

Israel is a terrorist state. All anyone has to do is to look with open eyes to see that.

      1. Yup. Unless someone is an idiot Baptist Fundy like the morons I know. They have NO critical thinking skills at all. Just their heretical idol worship of the Israeli state.

        1. You got it right. I never knew that in the 21th century the power of reason was going to be a thing of the past until I met one of these Christian zionists who was trying to convert me!!!

I felt that someting weird was happening and started asking him questions about the history of religions and realized that he had no clue of how they started and what was their purpose.

I just asked to go and read history books in order to free himself from the mind control cults he had joined.

Welcome to the 21st century where 90% of the population believe that they hold the truth when in fact they're just the slaves of religious cults that have been behind all wars, chattel slavery, colonization, etc…on this planet!!!!

These folks are programmed by the religious mafia and launched on the street to convert more people who are going to contribute money to their "Church".

  2. How completely devoid of either ability or self-respect must anyone be to become a spokesflack for the Puppet Throne? That she-creature and her responses to Matt Lee's questions were just pathetic. If that's the best the Regime can put forward in terms of defending its own propaganda, we have less of a battle to fight than I thought.

  3. The U.S. has a list of terrorist groups but for some reason the U.S. itself isn’t listed on it. How come?

    1. Hypocrites to the millionth degree that's why. you see, it's only terrorism when enemies of The Imperial City do it. The hypocrisy is beyond sickening.

  4. Had no one realized all these revolutions in the middle east in the past couple years even the ones helped by the west all the governments taking over are Islamic in some way not secular. Its only a matter of time before they take Israel out.

  5. Umm…if Israel is a terrorist state' how come Turkey was bossom buddys with Israel? It suits the Turks to call countries friends when they are in bed together, perhaps because the Turks are terrorists as well by their liquadation of Kurds, Armenians and Greeks.

  6. Last I heard private trade between Turkey and Israel was at an alltime high. They did quit military cooperation. Erdogan has helped destabilize Syria. He might he in the empire’s pocket. Watch what they do. Not what they say. If he starts blocking trade with Israel you know he means what he says.

    1. i agree.

turkey should join iran and iraq and eqypt as a unified islamic front against israeli racist imperialism

  7. can anyone explain why NAM and O I C nations refuse to expel US EU diplomats for open complicity with war crimes and UN subversion

    1. Excellent question. This is the time for NAM countries to show solidarity and strength. Pity.

  8. Apparently Ben C is sulking. Good riddance. He must have seen that, at least on this blog, Americans are getting educated on what is really going on the Middle East, especially in the Zionist part. There are problems everywhere, it seems. But the heart of the problem always comes back to Zionism. More and more Americans are looking into the history and askng the right questions: what is Zionism and where does it lead? We can see where it leads in real time in Gaza. It has nothing to do with self defence and everything to do with conquest of Greater Israel and the deportation of the inhabitants. The founders realized it would be a problem and they were right. Every American who goes to settle in Israel should be made to give up his passport and it should be given to a Palestinian for him to emmigrate. Russia the same. That would soon solve the settlements problem. Plus it would be fair. but since this will not happen, Israel has to reject Zionism and live with its own citizens before there will be peace. There is no point in talking about one-state-two-state solutions. The problem is more fundemental.

  13. Hello folks,

this was just brought to my attention this morning, please view!

We petition the obama administration to:
Completely divest all support to the apartheid state of Israel

Peacefully withdraw all support, military, monetary and political, from the apartheid terrorist state of Israel. This state is racist in nature and leads the

world in its human rights abuses toward the indigenous people of Palestine. Considering the constant establishment of new settlements on stolen land

built by Israeli citizens, and the open-air concentration camp conditions in which the Israeli military keeps these Palestinian men, women and children,

without regard to the protests of the majority of the world's countries, we, the people of the United States can no longer conscience the use of our tax

dollars to support such inhumane action in our names.
