Ron Paul: State Department Stonewalls On Syria Weapons

Why can’t the State Department spokespersons give a straight answer when asked a clear and direct question by the media? And when they do give an answer why is it often such a bold-faced lie? Either it’s “I cannot comment on that because there is an ongoing investigation” or “‘no boots on the ground’ in syria has never been our policy.” When it comes to US transfers of weapons in Syria that are ending up in the hands of ISIS – particularly when some have possibly been used recently to shoot down a Russian helicopter – the US government needs to do more than cover up. We must demand the truth! That is what we are doing in today’s Ron Paul Liberty Report:

  1. It gets much worse than that! We find that groups financed by the Pentagon to fight the ISIS and NUSRA have been fighting the groups financed by the CIA to fight against the Assyrian Army. Toss in that the NYT revealed that the Jordanian intelligence service had stolen millions of dollars worth of ammo that was supposed to go to the CIA financed rebels. It’s only been about three years ago that huge amounts if US citizens raised Hell at the idea that the US should attack Syria over Saran gas attacks against civilians. Always be reminded of the old Arab phrase, “Don’t let the camel get it’s nose inside the tent flap”. The US translation would be, “The edge of the wedge”. The US always arrives with, “We are here to help”, but before long it becomes, “We had to destroy the town to save it”.
