For the past couple of years, a few “angels” – big contributors – have been making up the difference when our fundraising efforts fall short, but we have recently been informed that most of this emergency funding is not going to be available this time around.

This means we’re going to have a $150,000 shortfall this year.

Which spells disaster for us – unless we raise MORE in the next two weeks than we’ve ever raised before. We just won’t make it without your greatly increased support.

We have no choice but to turn to you, our readers and supporters, and ask you to dig deep in your pockets to make an extra contribution. The alternative is stark: laying off half our staff, and possibly shutting down.
