Posted June 6, 2001 AntiEurope.com? I'd like to know why the Editorial Director of Antiwar.com said, "I'd sooner see the US bomb The Hague than have him (Bob Kerrey) delivered to the International Criminal Court." Perhaps you should rename this website Prowar.com, since Justin Raimondo seems to want to go to war with Europe! ~ Keene Venables The Backtalk editor replies: Mr. Raimondo wrote that he would "sooner" bomb The Hague than support the ICC. To Mr. Raimondo’s regular readers, who are aware that he opposes military aggression, this statement expressed his passionate opposition to the ICC, not a desire to go to war with Europe.
Why McCain is Still a Republican [Regarding Justin Raimondo’s column, "McCain’s Mutiny":] John McCain has vowed to stay with the Republican Party for one reason: he's dead meat among Arizona Republicans. The party leadership here has denounced him, and if he bolts, he will be zero plus zero. Most of us would like to see him leave the party and vacate the slot so we could get someone respectable in the position. ~ Dorothy Anne Seese, Sun City, Arizona
A Modest Proposal In my view the Zionists are remarkably restrained. If Israel was serious about crushing the Palestinians, Israel would herd them into either small, contiguous reservations in the west bank or into Lebanon and Jordan, and open the cleared territory for total Jewish settlement. A campaign placing the Palestinian areas under siege and then clearing them using fuel-air bombs to drive the natives through one small exit path followed by bulldozer-equipped tanks to plow the ruins and stay-behind survivors under would be the way to do it. If Israel was really serious about ending the "intifada" forever, the IDF could separate the Palestinian males from the females in desert camps and kill all the males with neutron bombs. The USA would bitch, but we would let them do it guaranteed ~ A. Purdy |
