Posted May 10, 2001 Anti-Magogism? …I think the split in Buchanan is between Buchanan the statesman and Buchanan the Christian. I was raised in Utah, and while I am 180-degrees opposed to making an enemy out of China, the idea does make perfect sense if you're a practicing Christian. Why? Because China is the army of Magog! Flip on your local Christian TV station next time pastor John Hagee gives a sermon. The Book of Revelations says that the army of the devil will be 200,000,000 men strong. Only one nation (according to Hagee) is able to field an army that large, and that is "Red China"… ~ William Dalebout Dont "Dis" Milosevic [To Justin Raimondo,] I ...think it’s [unjust] that you "dis" old Slobo so hard. …Yugoslavia survived for a decade under heavy sanctions because he funneled lots of funds towards the basic needs of the people of Yugoslavia, supporting a couple of hundred thousand refugees of all ethnicities during the wars of the ‘90s… I don’t think those criticisms of him not backing the Serbs in Krajina or Bosnia enough are fair because, if he had [backed them more], what happened to Yugoslavia in '99 would have happened to them in '95. …I never read a word of any of his speeches I didn't agree with. Sure, he was a puffed-up bureaucrat and a bit of a crook, but that’s better than being a traitor like Mr. Djindjic, who was kissing the hag's hand while 2000 Serbs were being murdered by NATO… Peace, What the World Needs Now Is Rightwing Anti-Globalist Scholars and Activists
Dear Mr. Raimondo, While I thought your recent column, "Quebec Crackpots: A Tale of Two Protests" was right on target concerning the muddleheaded-ness and hypocrisy of the leftwing, anti-globalist protesters, your analysis missed the cause of the problem: the fact that rightwingers have almost no voice in the anti-globalist movement… If we are to truly stop the emerging World Government, more rightwing scholars and activists need to be recruited into the anti-globalist movement and a distinct political strategy in fighting World Government that reflects our point-of-view must be devised… ~ Charles Wannick, NY Making Postures The difference between [the U.S. and China] is that the U.S. is not making aggressive postures towards neighboring free countries as the Chinese are doing to Taiwan ~ Charles Cooper "Making aggressive postures"? During the past decade the Chinese military bombed and blockaded no one. The US military bombed or blockaded Iraq, Somalia, Yugoslavia (1992-94), Bosnia, Haiti, Sudan, Afghanistan, Yugoslavia (1999), Bulgaria, and a Chinese embassy. ~ SK |
