Our country desperately needs Ron Paul since he is one of the only officials not in the pockets of lobbyist and his policy is the only way to truly help our country.
If anyone is interested in truly understanding what runs our foreign policy, you must learn more about lobbyist like AIPAC, the damage they are causing US foreign policy, and the stranglehold they have on just about everyone in our government besides Ron Paul. As former rep Paul Findley says, we are in the deepest hole since the Civil War.

Just listening to ROn Paul speak, you know he is more knowledgable than Hillary, Barack and John McCain combined.

It is sad that Ron Paul was not taken seriously during the primaries. The media had to practically be force to talk about him because the supporters did everything they could to create publicity with money bombs and what not.

Now they have his book at number 1 on amazon. It's amazing!

Scott,

Thank you for your consistently relevant, incisive, and deep excursions into the heart of American politics and foreign policy. One urgent topic which has been discussed but which seems to be on the back burner, though....

Perhaps you could help raise some consciousness here and/or delve into this deeper. Please see the following link:

http://www.indexmundi.com/united_states/debt_external.html

You can get some interesting statistics from this and similar sites. For example:

External debt per capita in US: $30,000 USD
External debt per capita in Mexico: $1,700 USD

The average Mexican earns $10,000 US per year, while the average American earns $43,000 per year. US residents portion of the external debt is around 73% of his yearly earnings, while the same percentage for the Mexican resident is 17%.

Sadly, the implications for this mess is that the country is being pushed into bankruptcy and the entire nation, from the pundits and policy wonks, to congress members (excluding Dr. Paul) to the common citizen, do not realize that it is headed straight for the cliff.

It is not that Justin endorsed Obama. My understanding is that he greatly prefers him over Clinton and McCain.
