Congressman Paul and fellow citizens, have you guys seen this? Maybe it’s time to start asking if a “reminder attack” was in fact “let through?”

During an appearance at a Long Island bookstore last month, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich was asked by a member of the audience why the United States has not been hit again since 9/11.

“I honestly don’t know,” Gingrich replied. “I would have expected another attack. I was very, very worried … when we had the sniper attacks, because the sniper attacks were psychologically so frightening. … I was amazed that the bad guys didn’t figure out how to send ten or twelve sniper teams.”

“This is … one of the great tragedies of the Bush administration,” Gingrich continued. “The more successful they’ve been at intercepting and stopping bad guys, the less proof there is that we’re in danger. And therefore, the better they’ve done at making sure there isn’t an attack, the easier it is to say, ‘Well, there never was going to be an attack anyway.’ And it’s almost like they should every once in a while have allowed an attack to get through just to remind us.”

To “Hide Behind”
If you read his books and don’t understand the basic changes we need perhaps you should reread them and also “Healing our world” by Dr. Mary Ruwart.
Your fears of domestic problems should be directed at the way things are going now. Our currency is losing value every day.The price of gasoline in dollars is increasin, but the American Eagle gold coin I purchased when “W” was sworn in will buy me more gasoline today.
If we don’t do something about the federal reserve debasing our currency we will be looking at double digit inflation and unemployment.
None of the Senators have even addressed this problem, or have done it in passing.
If we continue on the raod we are on we will see a collapse. It could be the biggest one in all of history. Already the “progressives” are seeking a new deal where the federal government gains more power over our lives.
One of the Senators who is running on “change” has stated we cannot continue to drive our SUV’s and eat all we want and set our thermostats at 72 degrees.
That is not the type of change we need.

So laying out a plan for withdrawing American troops from all over the world amounts to “little of ideas that could change American foreign policy”? His discussion of the work of Michael Scheuer and Robert Pape wouldn’t change American foreign policy? His call for the lifting of sanctions on Cuba? You couldn’t have read the book.

As for “slam domestic scene in a horrific way” — again, no way you read the book.

Have read Ron Pauls book and find nothing new within it, I see little of ideas that could change American foreign policy but would indeed slam domestic scene in an horrific way.
One that would be comparable to hitting a horse between the eyes with a 2×4 just to get its attention.
While Ron Paul is being given credit for his views upon what is wrong with todays society he has managed to live with them throughout his long politcal career without ever actually being against the Republican Party or any of its leadership.
Ron Paul leaves out one of, if not the most important part of message, it is too late to try and correct system without a complete teardown of old; and no matter the means, either by present politcal and economic directions or tear it all down, whatever its end will be something quite different than any system we had in past.
Whatever system it is all one can realy hope for is that it is not a Bloody Revolution.

According to Dr Bob Bowman, former chief of US Air Force Missile Defense, missile defense is the missing link to a First Strike. Dr Bob Bowman thinks missiles in Poland will be very useful to shoot down any surviving Russian missiles after a First Strike. Therefore the Russians will implement Launch On Warning. The terrible consequences of a mistake will be caused by the Pentagon´s drive for a disarming, unanswerable first-strike capability. Dr Bob Bowman agrees that the Pentagon will get disarming first-strike capability by 2011/12. Acc. to former Trident missile engineer Bob Aldridge-www.plrc.org-the US Navy can track and destroy all enemy subs simultaneously. The main danger is Russian Launch On Warning because of US First-Strike Capability. Please read Keir Lieber and Daryl Press, “The Rise of US Nuclear Primacy”, 2006 March/April issue of Foreign Affairs. By 2011/12 the Pentagon will have achieved that the Russians have no choice but Launch On Warning. I´d like to recommend Bob Aldridge´s books First Strike! The Pentagon´s Strategy For Nuclear War, The Counterforce Syndrome, Nuclear Empire and his recent book America in Peril.
