Scott H, while Truthers can be kooks, a lot of your position falls into the familiar trap of non-experts trying to explain 9/11 as per the official story, by simply Googling someone else’s arguments.

Or by engaging obvious non-expert Truthers.

IIRC, a recent poll said 36% of Americans didn’t trust the 9/11 Commission Report, and the truth movement is about exposing coverups, and should not be promoting specific agendas or outcomes until an independent investigation is complete.

It’s sad to see you treat the topic in a mocking or non-serious manner. A government that lies to it’s people to send thousands to death in multiple wars, and has planned domestic mock terrorist attacks in the past, is susceptible to inquiry and skepticism now.

I got linked here from HNN, or I wouldn’t sully your blog a few days after the smoke has cleared. That said, you just lost a “sometime” listener. Why would I listen to someone less intellectually curious than I am?

-Re: Rodriguez, I’ve heard that guy make a lot of contradictory claims, getting caught up in his story to where the timing of which bang he heard when was questionable to put it nicely.

Super. William Rodriguez says he felt a large explosion in the basement before the impact to the upper floors and decribes his friend coming up fm a lower level w/his skin hanging off…What of the pools of molten metal in the basement still hot a week later?

Omar Khadr was fighting (Canadian citizen) in a country not his own – there might not be much precedent for this kind of thing but I find it hard to defend this as “just what happens in war”(Canada as far as I know is not in a war with America). You know he was just over there on his summer break defending Afghanistan from an invasion, as so many kids do. It’s easy to see why they wanted to “question” him. I am obviously not defending that though.

All the interviews with Scheuer and none with his successor (Rich B.) who was chief of Alec Station from mid-99 until (likely) December ‘01?

That sure would be an interesting interview. To date (AFAIK) the man who ran Alec Station in the lead up to 9/11, the man who attended the 7/10/01 briefing with Rice and one of the officials referred to in IG Helgerson’s internal review (still classified except for the executive summary) has never been interviewed by anyone in the US media. Admittedly this could be because he still retains covert status with the CIA. One wonders how this is possible considering the key role the Chief of Alec Station would have played in the failure to prevent 9/11. I’m pretty sure Rich B. could shed some light on the repeated failures to watchlist al-Hazmi and al-Midhar.
