"the presence of (American) military bases is an affront to the Iraqi people..."
No s***, Sherlock.

We might pose the question: what Iraqi people? The USG, for all practical purposes, has destroyed the Iraqi society along with killing 100's of thousands of people and displacing millions more. An accident? You figure it out. Go ask some American Indians.

It is a credit to those who have survived the American onslaught of the last 5.5 years that they still have the will to resist the occupation.

These so-called "Antiwar" people are dimwits who are using the Iraq & Afghanistan wars to advance their agenda and make a living so that they do not have to get real jobs. These people are all talk and no action... The USG will shoot you death and the people will talk you to...

Figure it out, they are a lightning rod for antiwar sentiment... nothing more. They keep everyone yapping and tapping while the US war machine keeps keeping on. Keep giving them your $$$ but do not expect much to change.

Read the Arthur Silber article. Americans are willfully ignorant and brainwashed to the realities of war and it is doubtful that enough of them will ever wake up and resist the state. Welcome to 1984.

This is why there never was an exit strategy; the Israel-First neo-con scum and their greedy war-profiteering allies never intended to leave..they always wanted to turn Iraq into an arabic version of Puerto Rico-only much more raped and occupied.

Great stuff as always. Have there been any good documentaries on the plight of the refugees who have fled their homes in Iraq or the recent conditions within Gaza?

Peace be with you.
