If Dr. Ivins was responsible for the attacks, the sole, perpetrator…then Dr. Bruce Ivins is responsible for manipulating the nation into invading Iraq (weapons of mass destruction and bioattacks on the US) and responsible for the deaths of over 1 million Iraqi civilians, the displacement of over 4 millions, the immiseration of millions and a world on the brink of a massive recession due to the war and instability in the Middle East. Ivins, alone, would have to be the greatest single mass murderer in history. What a guy!
What baloney.
By the way, Zelikow (Professor ‘Catastrophic Terrorism’) was the first ‘expert’ trotted out to link anthrax and ‘a foreign government lab’ preparing the country to attack the soon to be named ‘Axes of Evil’.
By the way ‘Cipro’ is not the drug of choice and has significant side effects.

Don’t forget the context:

The PATRIOT Act was proposed in Congress on October 12th, 2001.

Tom Daschle (then Senate Majority Leader) and Patrick Leahy (then Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee) recieved Anthrax letters dated October 9th, 2001. Both were potential obstacles to the passage of the PATRIOT Act.

Now lets look at what a Guantanamo Bay ‘prosecutor’ said last week in the Hamdan case:

“If they hadn’t shot down the fourth plane it would’ve hit the dome [of the Capitol Building],”

Of course, the Capitol Building is where the House and Senate meet. Officer Stone was claiming that flight 93 had been shot down, and if it hadn’t been shot down, it would have hit the U.S. Capitol building. If this is true, then why was the government putting out disinfo about how the passengers re-hijacked 93 and it crashed in the process?

Do you get it yet? A coup d’etat happened on 9-11. Ask Glen if he knows whether we’re operating under ‘Continuity of Government’ right now. Cheney does claim to be a part of something other than the executive branch, after all.

“The Office of Vice President Dick Cheney told an agency within the National Archives that for purposes of securing classified information, the Vice President’s office is not an ‘entity within the executive branch’ according to a letter released Thursday by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.”

Darryl, Robin,

I agree with you Robin, that Bruce Ivins has been set up as a fall guy in all this mess. Based on what the FBI has trotted out so far, I, if I was a sitting jury member with Ivins on trial, would not have convicted him for spitting on the sidewalk. This case is not only pathetic, but indicative of what the Bush Administration has done during its tenure. There is no such thing as “the Bill of Rights, the rule of law, or due process when it comes to the Bush clan and all of its minions.

Darryl, I do not rule out the possibility that the CIA and/or Mossad could be involved, we can’t say for sure without solid evidence of some sort that can be examined out in the open. But it would not surprise me in the least having those two gestapo arms of gov’t involved.

The anthrax case has “false flag” written all over it.
The U.S. and/or the Israeli governments could very well have pulled this to get Americans even more hot and bothered against those evil Iraqis.

The FBI’s Keystone Kops performance–in this, as in other cases–is a disgrace.

“I think a number of us were surprised by some of the revelations” of secret bioweapons programs, says Elisa D. Harris, the former Clinton administration NSC official. Harris thinks it’s possible the FBI +itself is not aware of all of the biodefense work being contracted out by the U.S. government, because it is such a highly secretive and compartmentalized program.

Harris says she was shocked to read in the New York Times last September about biodefense research programs that she herself had not known about, although she had served for eight years in the White House as the point person for weapons of mass destruction nonproliferation issues.

“I was only aware of one of those three programs,” Harris says. “I was never told by the Defense Department about the other two. I was also not aware that since the early 1990s, the U.S. Army has apparently been producing small quantities of dry, very potent Ames strain anthrax.”

He was the first fatality linked to the 2001 anthrax attacks in the United States. He died of pulmonary anthrax after inhaling anthrax spores from a letter that is believed to have arrived at the American Media offices in Boca Raton, Florida. He was 63 years old.

When the FBI’s demonization campaign against Dr. Steven Hatfield failed to bring an indictment, and Hatfield hired an attorney who went after the FBI and exposed it for the criminal fraud that it is (Hatfield settled his suit with the FBI for over a million dollars), the FBI needed to find a new scapegoat and fast. Bruce Ivins was that scapegoat. A man who was denied his right to due procress of law by the FBI, and instead demonized by them in efforts to drive him to commit suicide. Either Ivins committed suicided or was covertly murdered by the FBI. However, in any event he is now dead, and the FBI has saddled him with the blame for a crime which he likely did not commit.
