Thanks Alex, but I'm afraid Texas wins again.

From National Geographic:

"With a land area of 251,777 square miles (652,090 square kilometers)—almost the size of Texas—Afghanistan is a landlocked country located in Central Asia."

Looks like a miles/kilometers thing there.

Wikipedia says:
Afghanistan= 647,500 square miles
Texas= 268,820 square miles
yes, there are bigger things than Texas, and I don't care how many NYC blocks that covers.
Good interview!

Margolis is a brilliant and pressient analyst of world affairs.

Someone like him ought to be brought into the State department and made Secretary of State.

He is also a very good and astute businessman, owning and running, as he does, one of Canada's ( and North America's ) largest manufacturing companys by the name of Jamieson, producing vitamins, minerals and other food supplements.

That's a great interview, thanks, Scott!

I don't quite believe in the possibility of an anti-American, Pakistan Army coup, which Margolis appears to think might happen. I think that one of the things the CIA is very good at is getting its own juntas in, in front of anybody else's juntas, and that would not be too hard in Pakistan, I should think, because ISI really belongs to CIA, and ISI has presumably got its own moles throughout the army.
