I thank Will and Scott for the best AWC podcast I've ever heard. I wish that every American would avail themselves of the opportunity to learn what our thoroughly evil ruling class has planned for us all. I fear some very dark days are ahead for the American people. I pray that God will have mercy on us.

Great lines from old movies...

Chisum (1970) with John Wayne, Forrest Tucker and many others.

Tucker's character, Murphy, aims to drive Chisum (John Wayne) out of the cattle business and take over his lands. Murphy hires a Mexican bandit to harass Chisum by stealing his cattle and to distract him from his (Murphy's) other crooked dealings. The bandit steals some of the herd and Chisum gathers his men and goes off in pursuit of his cattle. He finally catches up to the rustlers and they proceed to engage in mock negotiations. Chisum: Those are my cattle that you stole. Mexican bandit: Oh Señor, you are mistaken, I did not steal them but I found them wandering unattended. I am taking care of them until I can find the owner and return them to him. If you are the owner then perhaps you would like to buy them back? Chisum: What's your price? Mexican bandit: It depends on what kind of money you have. MB: Do you have gold? Chisum: No. MB: Do you have Silver? Chisum: No. MB: Do you have paper money? Chisum: No. MB, now frustrated: Well what do you have? Chisum: Lead. Chisum then proceeds to shoot the bandit...

Too bad things are not so clear cut in today's world of corporate crooks and their toads in government.

I agree with Marcus, the revolutions which swept through Europe in 1848 were not necessarily of a marxist/socialist nature, but were more in the direction of a liberal/national movement. Essentially, they wanted to build nation-states seperate from entities like the Austrian Empire and the German Confederation, etc. But socialists did play a role in some of the revolutions, and also the Communist Manifesto was published in 1848, but I think the main thrust of the revolutions were of a nationalist nature. But the Commune in Paris wasn't until later in the 1870's.

Marcus:

I believe Mr. Grigg was discussing the French revolution, which devolved into communes and which was more of a proletarian revolution than those in Germany.

As a matter of fact, I believe, there were other revolutions in 1848, amongst some states in the east.
