According to former Trident missile engineer Bob Aldridge-www.plrc.org-the Pentagon aims to achieve a disarming and unanswerable first strike capability. The missiles in Poland will be very useful AFTER a First Strike. Please see the article by Keir Lieber and Daryl Press, The Rise of US Nuclear Primacy" in the 2006 March/April issue of Foreign Affairs. The Russians may have no choice but implementing Launch On Warning. Nuclear Winter by mistake, malfunction probably. And it´s only for blackmail presumably.

Margolis is far from being free from issues even nowadas. He is practicaly in love with the Pashtuns and the Taleban. Must be because they fought his other favorite boogie (besides the Serbs) the Russians. Ah, but that is supposedly not Slavophobia, but rather anti-Communism (or something) so it is all kosher if you buy it.

Love EM. I actually read War @ the Top of the World when it came out, when was that, '99? '00? Unforgettable, the scenes of Indian and Pakistani mountain climbers at war, doing whatever it took to climb higher than the enemy and hold the strategic peaks and passes. I even exchanged emails with him before that, back in the 90's, when he was PRO Kosovo War and was promoting "mass graves" satellite photo propaganda n' stuff like that. Oh well, all's forgiven. He's been the best journalist since 9/11, everybody knows that.

Well those guys at Asia Times Online have a few journalists with exotic names who continue to write very in depth articles about Pakistan and Afganistan. Maybe if you could get one of those too.
