Good point James but even when bin Laden was alive he was more of a CIA prop/stooge than anything else. For starters there is no proof connecting him to 911. Walk into your local post office and see what crimes he's charged with, as well as the crimes he's NOT charged with (hint: he's not charged for the "day that changed everything")
While I think it's fascinating whether he's alive or dead, it's not really relevant. More important to me is the fact that he was once on the CIA payroll.

Being a libertarian or anarchist versus being an authoritarian really has little to do with left right divisions. It's all about your attitude towards authority vs liberty. As the people at Political Compass theorize (and I'm sure this comes from somewhere else originally) our political viewpoints can be mapped on an x and y axis. The x axis is left v right, but the y axis is libertarian/anarchist vs authoritarian. http://www.politicalcompass.org/ I am a leftist anarchist and I find I often have much more in common with right libertarians than liberal authoritarians.

David Ray Griffin has just published a new book in which he explores the fate of Osama bin Laden. The evidence is overwhelmingly in favor of the conclusion that bin Laden died in late 2001. Which raises a whole host of questions about the fake videos and audios that have apeared at times convenient to the Bush administration.

I think its wrong to give all people on the"left" the label of supporting the war. If
you want to check out the site: Common Dreams and read folks like Tom Hayden.
He isn't making excuses for Obama's politices. There are others as well. Frankly
we need a broad based non-partisan peace movement which opposes globalist
intgerventionism no matter who is doing it.

Yes, Obama continues to use 9/11 as the pretext for this endless Middle East bloodletting. No, bin Laden (hopping from cave to cave whack-a-mole style with his dialysis machine) did not pack the towers with the military-grade superthermite we know was used to demolish them. The worst of it, though, is that the Pentagon aims to achieve a disarming and unanswerable first-strike capability according to former Trident missile engineer Bob Aldridge-www.plrc.org-and Scott Ritter, antiwar radio archives. A First-Strike Capability by 2011/12 leads to Launch On Warning and Nuclear War by mistake. Bob Aldridge resigned for that reason. Bloody fools in the Pentagon !
