President Ahmadinejad has been doing that since 2003. He refuses to back an inch about the Iranian RIGHT to nuclear energy. Even when offered very cheap pre-enriched uranium from Russia he says no, it is a matter of principle and independence. If you give up one right, soon you will be giving up others too.

I'm missing something.

On what basis does Albright claim the right to know what is going on with the Iranian nuclear program? With any other country's program?

Is he Iranian? North Korean? Pakistani?

Iranians, please set a day aside for a mass "flipping off" of the international community of hypocrites.

In the 80’s the US warned Pakistan of an Israeli/Indian planned air attack on Pakistani nuclear facilities. I think Scott may be right about the US funding Pakistan’s nuclear program.

The “war of the cities” between Iraq and Iran was subsidized by the US and Israel. The broader war was conducted for many reasons: destroy regional competition for Israel; profit from US/Israeli arms sales; take revenge on Iran for the revolution; draw a deeper sectarian division between Arabs; Saudi Arabia’s regional paranoia; and most importantly to tie up any effective Arab resistance to the 1982 pre planned attack on Lebanon by Israel.
The US and Israel created Iranian insecurity. The remedy is quite simple. That is by restoring Iranian security and recognizing its legitimate grievances, although history clearly shows that the US only recognizes expedient grievances. So where I ask is the change?

It is really interesting how the UN and international community DEMAND stuff from Iran, yet ASKS stuff from Israel. Add to that the fact that Iran have cameras set up and UN inspectors running around their facilities and total transperancy. Israel have none of those, and even officially denies that they have nukes.

This guy actually says that Israel will never disarm if Iran does not suspend their civilian nuclear power program. What does the one have to do with another? The job of UN is not to look after Israeli strategical and military threats, it is to make sure people do not get nuclear tech without the right obligations. If ANYTHING, Israel must disarm before anyone can demand ANYBODY in the middle east to move away from nuclear technology.

And as for the mysterious laptop, why don't the accusers put out the evidence to Iranians and confront them with it? Imagine if your neighbour came and say that he got evidence that you have committed a felony against him and asked you to explain yourself. But he refuses to say what you had done or even what kind of evidence it is. Yet he and the police expects you to disprove him. How can you do that if you have no idea what the charge is, or even what kind of evidence that exists?

If USA/Israel/UN have evidence against Iran, put it forward. Otherwise quit talking about "the laptop".
