Following the triumph of democrats over republicans - the latter traditionally favouring a two-state solution - Israeli’s vote in a rightwing government to replace the left-centrist government of Kadima. Kadima which had just incinerated hundreds of children was being replaced by a party heartily populated with less than undesirable figures. Voting in the right insures that any peace negotiations start from the far right and move ever so slowly toward the centre ending in an epic concession on Israel’s part ritually hailed by all western media outlets. This kind of chicanery on Israel’s part will be may even result in a third intifada; which of course will be perfect for Netanyahu, blamed on the Palestinians and used as an excuse to execute more violence.
