I agree with Glenn. I always appreciate interviews with "the Other Scott Horton" for his insight into the torture abuses and other crimes of the previous, and current administration.

But to assert that a central bank is an "indispensable institution"?! To paraphrase Rothbard, it's ok to be ignorant on such topics, but to promote an opinion formed in that ignorance is evil. Mr. Horton (the lawyer), please stick to subjects you actually have a clue about.

While coming across very confident and principled regarding the torture and other war crimes committed by the U.S. Government, there was a noticible weakness in your guest when you turned the conversation to the Fed.

Anti-war and anti-Fed are inseparable with respect to the Rule of Law. What are people afraid of?

Scott, your consistency in the fight against collectivism and intervention is what keeps me listening to your interviews.

Note that Bush has a history of torturing animals as a child, branding his fraternity brothers are a young adult. This stunt closed the Yale DKEs (unusual) and almost sent GWB to jail. Now that's he's been supremo of the USA and two wars, we learn that his minions have been torturing folks. Better check his video library, guys, to see if he's been enjoying the rough stuff.

As Commander in Chief, he's responsible in any case.

"Five Deferments Dick" Cheney is a vile sonofabitch. It seems he had a hand in everything that went on in the Chickenhawk-in-Chief's administration.

I hope his next heart attack will be his last.

Good interview.

A good topic for an interview would be the decision making process which led to the use of torture. This aspect seems rather vague. Just some unsubstantiated comments from Bush that FBI methods were too slow. FBI agent Soufan testified that legal interrogation methods worked. If he lied under oath he should be prosecuted. If he told the truth then the entire foundation of the torture program is garbage. The public record backs Soufan's testimony.

Helgerson also conducted a 9/11 internal review report. Some of same officials he recommended should be subject to disciplinary panels were key advocates of the torture program. It should be noted that CIA officials obstructed Soufan's USS Cole investigation.
