Scott Horton Interviews Gareth Porter
Scott Horton,
October 02, 2009
Gareth Porter, independent historian and journalist for Inter Press Service, discusses Obama’s big lie about Iran’s Qom facility, the foreboding language used to describe minor IAEA violations, an anonymous source’s revelation that unauthorized Israeli planes entering U.S. controlled airspace will be shot down and how people ignorant of IAEA terminology are duped into thinking Iran is building secret nukes.

Very good show, and very good interview. Gareth Porter is truly an excellent addition to Anti-war Radio.

16 US Intelligence Agencies say that Iran isn´t developing nuclear weapons. The IAEA say there´s no evidence that Iran is developing nuclear weapons. But President Obama knows better. He has stated repeatedly that Iran is developing nuclear weapons. Is President Obama mad, crazy, bonkers, nuts whatever or what´s going oil ???

Bush & Cheney were also sure that Saddam was hiding those WMD… somewhere. They were never found, were they? This is just the SOS being replayed in a different context and it is unlikely that enough of the brain dead American populace will ever wake up and realize that they are being palyed from the moment they wake up until the moment they pass out and go to sleep. Good Luck, America.

I am afraid America and the rest of the world is out of luck. All the warmongers needed was one level of nuance to spin this story in the direction they wanted. The process is already under way and we might as well start the pointless war protests now.

Well said Tim T! Its difficult to do cynicism well, but that is excellent.
I just wanted to thank Scott for his work and the robust no-nonsense opening to the show, and for all of your fantastic work. I am (or have been) an Obama supporter, BTW..

What war protests? There was just a huge anti-government rally ("Tea Party") in DC and did you read, hear or see any coverage in the MSM? I have photos from a person who attended and you've never seen them in any paper or on any TV coverage. The USG owns the MSM and their job is to minimize dissent.

Oh, so that was McCain's chant last year, "Qom, Qom, Qom,…, Qom Iran".
I misunderstood. He was really looking out for us, wasn't he.
Just like his noxious initials, everything out of BOs piehole smells.
Thanks, Scott and Gareth. The empire will end, it just remains to be seen how many civilians will have to die.

Dude, it was all over every stinking channel for days….. open your eyes. I do believe that the main media channels shill for their corporate masters, and try to shape the argument framework, but blackout claims are just retarded. as are the informationally challenged teabaggers.
