Will Grigg

Will Grigg, author of Liberty in Eclipse, discusses the Second Amendment’s waning influence in the state of Massachusetts, the submit-to-authority indoctrination of children in public schools, the militaristic rituals that intrude on nearly all American social events, how the manufactured partisan divide functions as a political distraction and the Republican Party’s hijacking of the Tea Party movement.

  1. So wait, if his own wife was worried about his mental state, there might be some kind of problem.

If the guy was a nutcase that was planning something, it is good that they intervened. I dont think she turned him in because of his political views

  2. Great interview, but I just want to know how the Republican party can "hijack" the tea party movement when they ran it from the beginning. It's been Fox News all the way with those guys. I totally support efforts of people like Griggs and the young activists he mentions to turn the Tea Party into something good, and I hope some open-minded leftists join that effort.

    1. The Tea Party movement was not a republican initiative,it was formed as a response to republican indifference to the interests of millions of us.
Sarah Palin and almost all the rest are just whores for Israel and only talk a good line about our constitutional limits-tehy rarely back up those words.
Our system no longer represents us,it represents those with the most money and coercion(Israel again).
Republicans will attempt to hijack this, but many of us are wise to that and know that it will only dilute the message.

  3. According to former Trident missile engineer Bob Aldridge-http://www.plrc.org-the Pentagon aims to achieve a disarming and unanswerable first-strike capability. Minuteman-3 and Trident-2 D5 linked to GPS obtain a CEP (Circular Error Probability – – the radius centered on the target in which half the warheads are expected to hit) of 30 meters or less, enough to destroy any hard target. And according to Bob Aldridge the US Navy can track and destroy all enemy submarines simultaneously. Please see Robert C. Aldridge: Nuclear Empire, ch. 9. Even if the Pentagon´s First-Strike Capability is only for blackmail, the Russians may have no choice but implementing Launch On Warning. Bob Aldridge resigned because a disarming and unanswerable first-strike capability is suicidal.

I hope you agree that the Pentagon´s First-Strike Capability is the most urgent problem because it inevitably leads to Launch On Warning.

The missiles to be deployed on ships in the Black Sea in Bulgaria and in Romania and Poland by 2015 are a necessary component for an unanswerable first strike – – to shoot down surviving Russian missiles which are launched in retaliation according to Bob Aldridge.

  4. A reasonable alternative could be to take out these vessels "on warning", not to launch ICBMs…..

What is this really all about..?? Why pressure Russia..?? Is this REALLY about getting Russia on board sanctions against Iran..?? Or to put this another way, is this all about "preserving" Israeli hegemony in the region..?? Isn't making Israel invulnerable giving them license to continue policies of softcore genocide and annexation of the land of the Palestinians which under the U.N. is illegal. Put another way, does this policy put 50 or a 100 MILLION Americans at risk of being VAPORIZED so Israel can have a free hand to terrorize and vaporize Palestinians..???

  5. Why do you put the number that low ? Nuclear Winter will affect everybody. According to Uni of Colorado 100 warheads Hiroshima-size are enough for Nuclear Winter.

  6. Claus, you post the same thing nearly every time. I know one-trick ponies but, seriously, change it up. It’s good stuff to know, but not every single time and on topics that never even broach the subject.

On topic: The first poster said that the guys wife more than likely didn’t turn him in because of his political views. Really? Do you know that for a fact. Heck… there are people out there who would back stab their spouse just for the settlement and use any excuse to do it. And why should you be treated like a criminal just on the notion you “might” do something. Hell.. I might run a pickup truck laden with dynamite into the nearest capitol building… no, wait, that was just a thought… Ooops! Do I get arrested now for simply making a mocking comment? Now we have the equivalent of a police state with snitches in your own bedroom but spineless boot licking slaves give the thumbs up.

Comment about the Tea Party is dead on. I don’t know how this political abortion gained any traction seeing as it’s the Frankenstein monster of the Republicans to deflect criticism on their collusion with fellow warmongering and tax-sucking Democrats. You can see the puppet strings already being reeled in. Before you know it there will be some sort of “re-bonding” and the movement will essentially be as dead as it was before it was vomited upon us. Mission accomplished.

  7. I think Will Grigg used to be a reporter and columnist for the Indianapolis Star, when it was still locally owned. His insight is remarkable, and the interaction between him and Scott Horton, riveting. So glad to learn about his blogspot.
