Scott Horton Interviews Will Grigg

Will Grigg, author of Liberty in Eclipse, discusses the popular fear that an all-powerful global Islamic Caliphate is impending – despite the fact nearly all Muslim countries are controlled by U.S.-friendly authoritarian governments, the displacement of ancient Christian communities during the U.S. occupation of Iraq and the resemblance of America’s increasing paranoia about Muslims to German antipathy toward Jews in the interwar period.

Will Grigg writes the blog Pro Libertate, hosts the Pro Libertate Radio show on the Liberty News Radio Network and is the author of Liberty in Eclipse.

kissing down instead of kicking up
or kicking down instead of kissing up?
this odd statement reminds me of OSS-117 Lost in Rio, a spoof on james bond, where he ventures in the 60's to a nazi gala ball in rio to find a wanted escaped nazi war criminal.

The so called war verses are just that – rules of engagement in defensive war. They say, if you are attacked – this is how you can act and this is how you cannot act. You can kill the invaders, you cannot kill prisoners, you cannot kill enemies that surrender, you cannot torture people, you cannot force people to convert etc.
Of course the only thing that the racists quote are "Kill the invaders"

It's perfectly obvious that for most of the last 1500 it was safer to be a Jew or a minority Christian in a Muslim country than in Christian Western Europe. That's why there are Nestorians and Monophysites in the Middle East and not in the West.

Scott, I love your show man, but we have to be real. Not all Muslim majority countries are puppets of the US; Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey, etc. stand out as those who have a generally good relationship with the US but are definitely independent – though it can be argued that they weren't until recently.

The fact that Christian minorities are being killed or exiled has nothing to do with Shariah – this is a historical aberration. The Shariah itself states that the shariah cannot be applied on non-Muslims (that is why Christians can and have been drinking it up and eating pork in Muslim lands since antiquity). They way to look at what is happening is easy; if these rival groups of Sunni and Shia militias (heck, they both share the same holy book and most rituals) are extreme enough to declare war on and murder each other for territory – it is not much of a leap that they would do the same to minorities that are even further removed from their respective religious camps.

Even if Islam did preach conquest of the infidels, the threat would still be virtually non-existent, simply because all the evidence points to the fact that the more fundamentalist an Islamic state is, the less capable they are of actually achieving their aims of military or economic domination over others.

Under Shariah law Jews and Christian cant own land . So of course they cant be killed to give up their land . Shariah is applied on non muslims . You dont find churches in Saudi Arabia . And non muslims pay higher taxes . That what we need to do to the muslims when they are a minority too , is charge them exstra taxes , and charge them enough to pay the cost of extra security

Pussy dog,
As a " moderate" Muslim thriving to fulfill the five pillars, let me invite all non- Muslims to the following: Please do a favor to me: Don't read Koran! Don't try to know anything about us! Just enjoy life to the max. One day,may be,you'll discover that you missed sth. Sweet dreams!

Just hot in Israel has killed this scary dude!!! Makes you wonder if it shouldn't be a new comedy with a scary looking paraplegis taking on the army from his wheelchair on a solo operation.
debkafile's counter-terror sources reveal: Nashat Al-Karmi, aged 34, was born in Hebron and lived there with his wife. He graduated from the local college with a degree in technological engineering. His first brush with Israeli troops occurred in 1999 when he was picked up in a counter-terror swoop and spent three years in jail. In 2004 he suffered a serious gunshot wound to the stomach and was confined to a wheelchair.
Exceptionally secretive, Al-Karmi escaped having his photo taken, never used a telephone or even a cell and preferred to go into terrorist action solo.

Actually the Qur'an was written down formally. During the life of Muhammad (s), then collected together just after he died, then a few years later the Caliphate started producing official copies.
The Bible on the other hand, as in our hands today, is just a bunch of writings that Constantine (or under his direct) decided to put together and make the "orthodox creed", there are a bunch of manuscripts just as worthy that were left out.

Many conservatives are indeed afraid but I got a feeling that most from the top is purely about cynically using this to fish all those votes and money that they need to win the election.

Scott–that was a great interview; keep 'em coming. The only problem I have is the new format, with the breaks–they (1) cut the guest off while answering a question, and/or (2) make it hard to hear the guest finish their answer because the music drowns them out.
Can something be done to remedy this significant issue?

God has providentially preserved HIS Word perfect in the Bible. It is thus sacred, infallible, and final authority.
The BIble is THE final authority on the Person, Life, and Work of Jesus Christ.
The Quran is not.

No kidding. The Neocons are evil, and even unwise, but not stupid. I, however find myself stupified when I hear the likes of that toad will Kristol and others threatening that muslims are going to man some vast, non-existant navy, sail to the states, somehow take over the country, and impose shariah law. It's a cynical ploy, and it's all about Israel and the millitary industrial complex, and controling petroleum, but damn it works. People are really scared of it, at least with the communists, the fear was plausible.

The sharia law protects all religions; we are not to even call
Any religion a bad name, even in war time we're ordered not
To harm older people and woman and children and also a place
Of worship, I live in Jordan and most of my neighbors are of
Christian fait, they have their way of worshiping God and we
Have ours to each his own and by the way we have lots of churches.
The only Muslim countries that have no churches is Saudi Arabia
It's like that Vatican do they have a mosque over there or do they
Allow us to build one there?, by the way the building that I live in
Was owned by a Christian family.

Humancost.org, and other web sites show that US police stats for the past 10 years, we have been under attack and suffered the most casualties from dangerous illegal aliens inside our borders, including from Mexico, other countries in Latin America, other illegals here from any country, and those who were blamed for the 9-11 tragedy. It amounts to more than all the dead Americans in Afghanistan, Iraq or other areas in the middle east. 9000 per year killed here, and that doesn't include the other crimes committed that are like robbery, rape, and others.
We have to quit allowing the powers that be to pull this wool over our eyes. Islam isn't the enemy, ICE should do their job. But if we do keep attacking and blaming Islam, we will be getting the blowback, as we already have. This is from countries who cut hands off of people caught stealing. What do you think they will do to those attacking their country to steal their resources?

With havin so much written content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright infringement? My blog has a lot of exclusive content I’ve either written myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my agreement. Do you know any solutions to help prevent content from being stolen? I’d truly appreciate it.

StriVectin-SD’s most important ingredient, Pal-KTTS, was first tested in France. Pal-KTTS is an oligopeptide. To understand Pal-KTTS’s effect on the skin, we should first fully grasp what peptides in general do for the skin. Peptides are organic chemical compounds derived from the developing blocks or foundational chemicals of proteins, amino acids.
