One of the best ways to argue with a leftist is to make them recognize that the government is a consumer, it is the largest spender in the known universe; and, this particular point can be difficult to convey, that government is the biggest source of waste. Being that environmentalism is usually attributed to the left, arguing that smaller is better, particularly in regards to state power, can cause apoplexy, which is such joy to witness.
