Ali Gharib, New York-based journalist on U.S. foreign policy and LobeLog writer, discusses how American neoconservatives remain the hardest working warmongers around despite Israeli claims of success – via Stuxnet sabotage and assassination of nuclear scientists – in delaying Iran’s (alleged) pursuit of nuclear weapons; Jennifer Rubin’s venue-change from Commentary to The Washington Post, which <sarcasm alert> finally gets a pro-Israel perspective in mainstream media; and the WikiLeaks cable that shows internal Iranian politics prevented President Ahmadinejad from completing the 2009 low-enriched uranium swap deal.

  1. Oh what a shock! Israel murdered some one and attacked the computers of another nation all on facts that proved to be wrong. How many times can the pro war mongers get to be wrong before they start being a bad source of information? How many wars do we get sucked into to keep these people rich?
With a record of being wrong on everything one has to wonder about other claims made by the chosen.
What about the USS Liberty? What that still officially the greatest blunder by any military unit or an attack by an ally? It is difficult to take them serious knowing their record or being great lairs or purely clueless.d I suspect the first explaination.

  2. All neocons ought to be shipped the hell over to Israel. It's where their loyalties lie, after all. The same goes for the Congressional scumbags–LIEberman, Harman, Berman et al.–who put Israel's interests ahead of America's.

A sane U.S. Government–which, of course, it isn't–would cut Israel the hell off America's apron strings.

Jennifer Rubin, that rabid Israel-Firster, has a new gig at the Washington Post. Good to know that the pro-Israel point of view will finally be represented there, huh?!

    Best regards to Ali Gharib.

  3. Israel commits outrages against America with impunity–and the U.S. Government lets 'em get away with it. Just another indication that America's on the way out. . . .

Speaking of U.S.S. LIBERTY: If she'd been a Russian vessel, I suspect that then Soviet premier Alexei Kosygin would have given Israel a pasting they wouldn't soon forget.

  4. Scott……are you sure Ali Gharib is anti war camp? or he is like Sahimi who still insists 2009 preseidential elections were stolen !!

  5. A million American voters does not equal one Israeli vote (or veto) in American elections. That should have been 100 million, sorry. They are in charge of our elected officials not us. We do not have a democracy, we have a sub-democracy i.e. subservient to Israel.

  6. Our US Congress is filled with TRAITORS to the the US – their ONLY loyalty is to Israel – all should be put on a leaky boat to Israel.
