Robert Parry

Robert Parry, founder and editor of, discusses his snazzy new website; his article on the US Congress’s love-fest for Israel’s Prime Minister, “Cheering Netanyahu’s Intransigence;” how, with members of Congress competing for the role of top Israel cheerleader, all pressure to negotiate with the Palestinians is relieved; walking back long established understandings, like a reversion to 1967 borders and a shared Jerusalem capital; Likud Party member Danny Danon’s NY Times op-ed proposing the annexation of the West Bank, should Palestinians declare statehood in September; and the Likud Party’s influence in US politics since the Carter administration.

  1. They need to add a major libertarian site to their blog roll. What about C4L or something friendly to Ron Paul.

  2. If I were Jewish, I´d be very nervous about the actions of Congress, because if the bottom drops on the economy, our courageous leaders will be desperately looking for escape goats. Are they going to point to the Muslims for the collapse? Who historically gets the blame for economic problems in the West? Those creeps in Congress give me the creeps.

    1. You are so correct. When the prime minister of Israel arrived the 535 congressmen and senators took the day off to pander for future campaign contributions. So many Americans are suffering and they elected the senators and congressmen to do their business not the personal business of campaign prostitution. I think one day the public will look and understand the stealing and personl looting of the nation by our elected official and the public will decide that neither party needs to be continued in office. The usual 30 second campaign cry will not overcome the deep need to fire the bums. There is not one senator or congressman who should not be replaced. Even a pet rock would be better representative because the rock being a rock would do no harm while the present elected official steal the public wealth.

  3. I like the show very much, and Scott Horton is great. He always ask wonderful questions and invites interesting people, but his voice is not Radio-like.
I wish Scott can design and prepare the show, but have somebody else present it. Somebody with a softer voice, just to give the show a "serious" tone, and attract a larger audience.
Just a thought…I'm an avid listener and always will be.

  4. The present movie being shown on cable tv called "too big to fail" should be a required watching. It tells the story of the greed and pure spite of the Wall Street gang along with the servant of wall street which is the Federal reserve. When people understand how badly our elected official happen to be their is a real chance that the public will come to understand that getting rid of all the elected officials is the only answer. Last week all 535 congressmen and senators took the day off to have a love event with the prime minister of Israel. They did it because they would rather play prostitute rather than do the public work. Our elected official understand a war monger like the prime minister of Israel comes with campaign money for anyone willig to give up all human characters and become a robot for war.
