Will Grigg, blogger and author of Liberty in Eclipse, discusses why the American Dream is collapsing; the dollar’s rapid decline since leaving the (partial) gold standard in 1971; keeping the fiat currency game going by waging war – the biggest public works/jobs stimulus program imaginable; how the dollar’s reserve currency status, solidified by dollar denominated oil sales, has let the US expand its empire far beyond sustainability; and why economic troubles often prompt people to scapegoat minorities, rather than directing their anger toward the actual causes.

  1. Marvellous interview Scott!
Worth mentioning Charles André Joseph Marie de Gaulle and his request to be paid in gold.
Would be nice if you could do an interview or article on petrodollar. With a knowledgeable fellow like Mr. Grigg.

  2. Scapegoats if the bottom falls out? How can the Muslims be blamed? They don´t run the banks or Wall Street, have no influence on our DOD and Intel communities, and never demand that our Congress genuflects to them or get a smile from our president after humiliating him.

Our leaders are constantly being humiliated and I don´t think they are really happy about it. These same leaders will be scrambling for someone to blame, someone believable. Historically who always gets blamed?

Americans have changed enemies so quickly and so many times before.

    "It could never happen here"

  3. When was America ever peaceful during her entire existence ? In the 19 century with it's manifest destiny it expanded westward and wage wars against the Native Indians, Mexican and annexed Texas and later attacked the Spanish empire and annexed Hawaii. And blacks where used as slaves and treated less than human untill the 1960's in the south. So what period are you guys talking about when America suppose to be so righteous and peaceful ?

  4. America is still trying to keep peace in all over the world but unsucess so far the diabetes protocol reviews
