Anthony Gregory

Anthony Gregory, Research Editor at the Independent Institute, discusses his article on Armistice Day; how a day celebrating the end of WWI became “Veteran’s Day” in the US where the military is revered and militarism relished; the frequent reminders that the US government doesn’t care about its soldiers or veterans; and how multiple simultaneous wars – with indefinite durations – have become the new normal.

  1. As long as there is no draft the American public couldn't care less if there are 6 or 12 wars that they are fighting.

As long as there taxes stay low the American public couldn't care less if the US government spends 500 billion or a trillion dollars on defence.

George W. Bush, says, “As long as there is no draft the American public couldn't care less…”

LIGHT: “American public” being the 51% most wealthy who always make sure to vote giving them control of democracy, they make sure that 95% of our bleeding and dieing in war is done by the lower half of society.

Ask yourself, college being a war exemption, which is more important, sitting on your butt in an air conditioned classroom getting an upper class sheepskin, or enduring the hard labor, sweat and filth of dusty smoke filled factory so you can feed, shelter, nurture and live with your children?

George W. Bush, says, “As long as there taxes stay low the American public couldn't care less…”

LIGHT: The upper half of Empire USA society all have great jobs and terrific homes. So, if a war makes their job greater or value of their home more terrific — BOMB BABY BOMB.

      1. STRIKE VOTE
Whereas, WE of the lower half of society, because WE all have no wealth and most are deep in debt, because of this the “American public” couldn't care less.

Therefore, WE who are of no importance because WE own no property, come let us strike together, giving the “American public” an attitude adjustment forever.

  2. GAS — $10 A GALLON

“Israel Refuses to Tell U.S. Its Iran Intentions

Israel has refused to reassure President Obama that it would warn him in advance of any pre-emptive strike on Iran's nuclear capabilities

…IAEA report comes amid concerns that Iran's continuing progress towards nuclear weapons capability means the Jewish state has all but lost hope for a diplomatic solution."

You can always tell when mainstream media thought control is trying to blow your mind, when a news article claims a mind reader’s ability to know if sincere are the “concerns” expressed when “officials said,” that after laboring long and hard they have “all but lost hope for a diplomatic solution."

Amazing, 49 comments below the above article and not the slightest suggestion that the corporate rich are handing scripts to all the paid actors in the Obama-Netanyahu Theater Guild.

    1. For nothing would kill corporate profits faster then for Iran to blockade the 21 mile wide Straits of Hormuz, cutting off all oil tanker traffic. Imagine, crude oil at $225 a barrow, with cost to a refinery of $5 a gallon. And after all the petrochemicals and engine oils have been refined out — after greed is factored in — still a cost to us at the pump of $10 a gallon.

  3. All world leaders know that Iran is NOT making nuclear weapons because the IAEA has again confirmed that no uranium material has been diverted from peaceful purposes. And Jerusalem Post tells us that the Mossad has actually made most of the report. And Israel isn´t even a member as it hasn´t signed the NPT which Iran has signed. And now Israel claims that El Baradei is an Iranian agent. They learned a lot from the nazis in Israel but now they surpass Dr Goebbels !

  4. Normally I don’t read article on blogs, however I wish to say that this write-up very forced me to take a look at and do it! Your writing taste has been amazed me. Thank you, quite nice post.
