Arash Norouzi, artist and co-founder of The Mossadegh Project, discusses the Washington Post’s much-delayed admission that Iranian President Ahmadinejad didn’t say Israel should be “wiped off the map;” the context of Ahmadinejad’s speech and the origin of the quote – which compared Israel’s potential collapse to the fall of the USSR, the Shah’s regime and Saddam Hussein; putting an end to the seven year old anti-Iran talking point; and why we shouldn’t hold our breath waiting for other media outlets to admit their mistake.

  1. Corrupt and despotic Republic

Military of Iran is ruled by the Supreme leader, whereas military of Empire USA is ruled by the same rich nobility going back to the American Revolution.

Therefore, if our guest speaker is correct, “Iran is a dictatorship,” then to a much greater extent is our despotic Republic.

  3. No, Ahmadinejad didn't say Israel should be "wiped off the map." He said that Zionism will one day disappear, or something to that effect.

The U.S. and Israel lie constantly about Iran. The neocon chickenhawks in the U.S., and the Likud lunatics in Tel Aviv, never stop their warmongering.

  4. An interesting bit of censorship arose, when Christiane Amanpour recently analysing Iran’s nuclear program on the CNN asked M. J. Larijani, the secretary-general of the Iranian High Council for Human Rights about “Iran wiping Israel off the map” and whether it meant using nuclear weapons against the Jewish state.
Larijani was about to explain the ramifications of the statement, when CNN unceremoniously switched to another section of Amanpour’s show, and left the viewers non-plussed.
There is little doubt that those in charge of media news about Iran in America and Europe know very well that Ahmadinejad by advocating the disappearance of Israel was proposing the creation of a democratic single state of Palestine for Jews, Christians and Moslems alike. And the media bosses in the West also are aware that; if “ Israel off the map” was not seen as a declaration of war rather than a proposal for lasting peace in the region; then the public view of Iran would probably change and people would start asking: what is all the fuss about Iran and its nuclear program?

  5. Planet earth — A lair’s paradise

As a lie is an illusion of good hiding misery, a liar’s pretense of good hiding an intent to be enriched upon our misery, to create a world free of lies all we need do is give everyone equal intelligence, which would give everyone an equal knowledge of good.

Problem is, if everyone had the intelligence of the rich nobility, the world would be one big High Society, no one would have the humility to scrub toilets and what a foul-smelling world this would be.
