<p>He wrote for Michael Badnarik’s 2004 campaign. He got his B.A. in history at UC Berkeley in 2003, where he wrote his thesis on the 1993 Waco disaster. He sings and plays in a rock band, the Melatones, and is an Eagle Scout. <p>Jacob G. Hornberger is founder and  president of The Future of Freedom Foundation. He was born and raised in  Laredo, Texas, and received his B.A. in economics from Virginia  Military Institute and his law degree from the University of Texas. He  was a trial attorney for twelve years in Texas. He also was an adjunct  professor at the University of Dallas, where he taught law and  economics. In 1987, Mr. Hornberger left the practice of law to become  director of programs at <a href="http://fee.org/" target="_blank"> The Foundation for Economic Education</a> in Irvington-on-Hudson, New York, publisher of <a href="http://www.fee.org/publications/the-freeman/" target="_blank"><em>The Freeman</em></a>.</p>
<p>In 1989, Mr. Hornberger founded The Future of Freedom Foundation. He is a regular writer for The Foundation&#8217;s publication, <em>Freedom Daily</em>. Fluent in Spanish and conversant in Italian, he has delivered <a href="http://www.fff.org/theWord/speeches.asp">speeches and engaged in debates</a> and discussions about free-market principles with groups all over the  United States, as well as Canada, England, Europe, and Latin America,  including Brazil, Cuba, Bolivia, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Argentina.</p>
<p>He has also advanced freedom and free  markets on talk-radio stations all across the country as well as on Fox  News&#8217; Neil Cavuto and Greta van Susteren shows. Most recently, he has  regularly appeared as a commentator on Fox News&#8217; legal commentator Judge  Andrew Napolitano&#8217;s Internet-based show  <a href="http://freedomwatchonfox.com/" target="new">Freedom Watch</a>. His editorials have appeared in the <em>Washington Post, Charlotte Observer, La Prensa San Diego, El Nuevo Miami Herald</em>, and many others, both in the United States and in Latin America. He is a co-editor or contributor to the eight books that have been published by the Foundation.</p>

<p>Nat Hentoff is a senior fellow at the CATO Institute and one of the  foremost authorities on the First Amendment. His column, Sweet Land of  Liberty, has been distributed by the United Feature Syndicate since  1992.</p>
<p>Hentoff has earned numerous awards and is a widely acknowledged  defender of civil liberties. In 1980, he was awarded an American Bar  Association Silver Gavel Award for his coverage of the law and criminal  justice in his columns. In 1983, the American Library Association  awarded him the Imroth Award for Intellectual Freedom. In 1995, he  received the National Press Foundation Award for Distinguished  Contributions to Journalism, and in 1999, he was a Pulitzer finalist for  commentary.</p>
<p>Hentoff was a columnist and staff writer with The Village Voice for  51 years, from 1957 until 2008. A jazz expert, Hentoff writes on music  for The Wall Street Journal and Jazz Times. He has lectured at many  colleges, universities, law schools, elementary, middle and high  schools, and has taught courses in journalism and the Constitution at  Princeton University and New York University. Hentoff serves on the  Board of Advisors of the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education  (F.I.R.E.) and is on the steering committee of the Reporters’ Committee  for the Freedom of the Press.</p>
