At least 76 Iraqis
were reported killed or found dead today and another 71 Iraqis were wounded.
At least two significant bombings occurred in the capital while a third bombing
targeted a political organization in Mosul. Roadside bombs killed
an American servicemember in Baghdad and another
in Salah ad Din province. A third
soldier was killed in a non-combat related incident.
a car bomb blasted a truck ferrying pilgrims from Karbala through central Baghdad’s
Karrada district; 32
people were killed and 24 wounded. One
Iraqi soldier was killed and another wounded when a car bomb in the Yarmouk
district was set off. A suicide bomber blew himself up on a minibus near Mustansiriya
Square; ten were
killed and eight wounded. Five
were killed and six injured during a car bomb attack in central Baghdad. Also,
gunman was killed, three security guards were injured, and 77 suspected militiamen
were arrested during security operations.

Iraqi troops killed
three militiamen and arrested five in Ramadi.

A roadside bomb killed
three policemen and wounded seven others while they were dismantling a roadside
bomb in Mussayab. Two
men were killed in a drive-by shooting perpetrated by men in army uniforms.
In Mosul, a blast at the Iraqi Islamic Party’s headquarters killed
three guards and wounded two others; an unidentified
body found at the scene is thought to belong to a suicide bomber. A gunman
was killed and another arrested during clashes.
At a Shi'ite Party office
in Kut, a bomb exploded but caused no
bodies were found in Daquq.

army one in Falluha.
