Daniel Assange is NOT Scott Evil

Looks like producers for Dr. Phil and Montel might be waiting awhile if they think they have a celebrity dad-hating story in the making. Rupert Murdoch’s New York Post seemed to have obtained a scoop yesterday rising to the level of Dr. Evil/Scott Evil proportions, excerpting a FaceBook quote from Daniel Assange, 20, that appeared on its face to fuel the growing personal attacks against his father, embattled WikiLeaks founder and director, Julian Assange:

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange’s own son thinks he’s a nightmare when it comes to women.

“That man does have a way of making a lot of female enemies,” Daniel Assange, 21, said about his embattled dad.

Daniel made the Facebook posting after two Swedish women came forward with allegations that led to rape and molestation charges against his dad.

Daniel also wondered about his father’s claim that the accusations were part of a Pentagon “smear campaign.”

“Interesting to see whether this is the result of a government plot or personal grudges,” he wrote.

Daniel Assange is no 'Scott Evil'

But later on Friday, Daniel, under the moniker Somnidea on a website called The Sleepy Lammata lashed out at the newspaper, calling the story “godawful sensational tripe”:

I’d just like to note here that the comments in question were very tongue-in-cheek and never intended to be made public like this, much less support the conclusions of the article. The NYP did not interview me or otherwise attain my consent in any way for their publication. I have much respect for my father and his cause, and these ridiculously ill-handled allegations of sexual abuse serve only to distract from the audacious awesomeness that he has actually done.

  1. Julian gots a son? Wow! So please excuse and forgive my assumptive person. I figured Mr. Julian was sort of androgyne. Broke the rule I did. Making assumptions on looks alone. Mea culpa maxia culpa.
So it sure seems that Rupert 'montgomery' Murdoch has a "keen" interest in Mr. Julian. Hmmm, unnatural interest? A mega-billionaire's lechery knows no bounds.
Mr. Julian is assuredly giving all the "elite" fascists the crawling fits. HUZZAH for Mr. Julian. Golly I sort of figured that Mr. Julian was a 'real-life' Sheldon type and turns out Mr. Julian is just another babe-hound like the rest of us. HUZZAH for Mr. Julian!

    1. I don’t know much about gardening. I had a nice vegetable garden one summer, in Toronto, and blame it all on the sun, soil, heat and humidity. Everything thrived, but not because I knew what I was doing.

  2. High on my own list of 'low-life' stories that I'd like to see reported is Rupert Murdoch touring the gentlemen's clubs of Mayfair, handing out bundles of cash to washed up dissolute out of work hack pals who have been reduced to polluting comments forums on public news sites. "Amy Goodman is a millionaires", Noam Chomsky is a Zionist gatekeeper". "Julian Assange is a CIA stooge."
Come on you waiters and bar staff! Give us the dirty low down on these low lifes.
Wikileaks has an address, and for your own sake use a couple of trusted cut outs.

  3. Unable to adapt to technological changes that have rendered his "news" enterprises anachronisms (and irrelevancies), this is Murdoch's way of lashing out at the "competition."

Forget it, Rupert. It ain't gonna work. And by the way, I'm looking forward to the day when the stock of those "corporations" you own is lining birdcages and you're begging some future presidential administration for a job as deputy under-assistant press secretary just to earn a paycheck and keep a roof over your head.

  4. I appreciate Julian Assange’s efforts to expose the futility and filth of our invasion of Afghanistan. It should make decent people ashamed of their own government. But there’s the rub. A nation has to have citizens who can be moved to shame. Such citizens do exist in America but not in sufficient quantity. What we have in super abundance are mentally ill people who have developed a fondness for the death and destruction of warfare. A lot actually associate warfare with patriotism and “goodness”.

Saturday, Sarah Palin, spoke at a gathering of what to me are mentally confused Americans. She said that she was very proud of being the mother of a combat vet, adding “they can never take that away from me”; like that was her proudest contribution to humanity.

Isn’t that insane? Saying she was proud to have a child who knows how to slaughter (and probably has) other human beings. Men in combat do unspeakable things – kill civilians, rape, and torture. Any society that worships warfare is sociopathic society. There are many examples of such sick societys – the Nazis, Bushido Japan, and now us.

All of our efforts to glorify warfare will lead to our own destruction. Maybe 40 years from now, we will be a better country. We will know it when some creep like Palin gets boo-ed off the stage.

    1. No, Julian Assange is now 40 (39 when this article was published); he was 18 or 19 (and married) when he had Daniel.
