That was kind of disgusting. The eternal-war attitude seems to creep in to the journalist's minds. Even Kelly sounded like a hawk. Where was her anti-war stance? She just talked about how the war is going to continue. Not a word about the fact that this might actually be, you know, WRONG.
And that Justin guy, he said that announcing a drawdown date is going to "hurt nation building". This reveals his delusion. The delusion being that a military presence is any sort of help to a country. In reality, of course, a military presence is a destructive force, and the so called "nation building" is a scam. So there's another pro-establishment journalist.
The Dubai girl made some slightly better comments.
But the only convincing person in the whole discussion was the host. He seemed actually aware of the horrors of war and tried to expose the war mongers' lies as what they are. Sadly, the people he talked to today were not much use at all.
Kelly, what have you come to? Is the establishment consuming you? I always feared that might happen to you because you're in Washington and that is a truly dangerous place where trying to stay mentally sane is – literally – an uphill battle.
Oh, and incidentally: Here's a note to Justin. Justin: You should leave the country. Your mission is not possible, not now, not in the US. They already fired a warning shot against fellow activists. Leave the US and come to Europe. Europe will tilt towards peace as the US continues to tilt towards war. And if not Europe, there will be another place where it makes sense to rally for peace.
Just not in the US. The US is doomed. I mean, look at it. Any and all events right now just give more power to the hawks, and less power to activists. The activist mission has failed.
Not saying it was useless – it just didn't stop the war machine. The war machine will stop itself in due time, but that's going to be messy, and once again: I suggest to you, Justin, that you leave the US.
Oh, to clarify: I talked about two Justins here. The second Justin was of course Justin Raimondo. I suggest that Justin Raimondo leaves the US.
