Michael Scheuer vs. CNN’s War Cheerleaders

Former CIA Chief of the “bin Laden Unit” Michael Scheuer went on CNN this morning to explain the folly of US intervention in Libya and easily handled CNN’s war cheerleaders.

  1. Hilarious…we have the dumbest bubble-head "journalists" on the planet. When do those two parachute into Libya for their photo-op?

  2. Their hardest "questions" seemed like slow pitch to him. What 's the alternative? But didn't Obama say no troops? Isn't this a NATO thing? You don't like Obama and the Democrats?

    Grand Slam imo.

  3. The two CNN talking heads seem very eager to risk other people’s lives over something that they are obviously ignorant of, caring only for stroking their own huge egos, arrogant and stupid beyond belief.

  4. In this clip at least (and I haven't been watching CNN), they didn't seem like war cheerleaders. Their job is to ask questions about what the government and others are saying and allowing him to respond.

  5. Sad that the tiny country of Qtar can now kick us all over the map with intelligent commentary on Al Jazeera. Of course the U.S. deserves to be kicked all over the map…

  6. Scheuer is a murderous thug who who ran the illegal rendition program under Shrub. He has no place on an ostensibly antiwar site.

    1. I think a murderous thug who does an about face and is now preaching non-interventionism is.

      1. I'm sorry, I'll listen to him when he's in the 8×8 cell he belongs in. Because I'm a humanitarian, I won't insist he gets tortured like his victims were.

        1. Yea I can see your point about justice and Sheuer. Still it's good to see people can change. I did enjoy the beatdown he put on those two CNN ladies, "You're just carrying water for Mr. Obama" lol, you gotta admit that was good.

  7. Rather, he *should* have no place on an antiwar site, except as an object of scorn and derision

  8. I suggest CNN hire anchors less opinionated. Michael Scheuer is a top authority on Bin Laden and his crowd. Listening to him instead of interrupting might be enlightening.

  9. Man those "journalists" sure were biased. America the good bringing freedom to those dumb Arabs – the official CNN spin for the great unwashed.

  11. Constitution for the United States of America

    Article I
    Section 8

To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years.

  12. Michael S owned this interview. He is calling out the white elephant in this room called the great US of A. Of course they wouldn’t give a crap if there was no oil. Where were they with Sudan, Rwanda and countless other genocidal incidents in history? Now they’re worried about Libya? Where were they when thousands died during the South African error of apartheid. If they cannot benefit, they won’t go in it’s that simple. Always a question of what the US can gain. Take a peek at the Bloomberg reports on US companies benefitting from the Japan tragedy, food for thought.
