Iran’s Tat and America’s Tit

This Politico piece made me chuckle yesterday. After years of calling Iran the top supporter of terrorism around, the Ayatollah swung back saying “he had 100 ‘undeniable’ documents connecting the US to terror acts in Iran and the Middle East.” He then called the the accusations about the Quds Force plot to kill the Saudi Ambassador on American soil “an ‘absurd terrorist scenario’ that was made to distract from the ongoing US financial crisis.” Then the US State Department returned fire, denying the accusations of terrorism in Iran and the Middle East as outrageous, then saying “This is just more rhetoric designed to deflect popular attention in Iran away from the failings of the Iranian government to meet the needs of its own people.”

What an esteemed level of diplomacy. I feel like getting in between and doing this.

  1. "This is just more rhetoric designed to deflect popular attention in Iran America away from the failings of the Iranian American government to meet the needs of its own people."…..

    There now. That's more like it.

  2. i think the three stooges in this scenario are the US, UK and Israel….

    Iran for its part is telling the truth. History is on their side

  3. Yes and the US Congress has publicly authorized millions to overthrow the Iranian government.

    1. We should ask Hillary why we had to redo all the US currency over the last ten years. It was a real tit for tat that the Iranians started printing counterfeit $100 bills after they figured out the US government was dumping huge amounts of counterfeit Iranian money in the middle east. One more stupid plot by the CIA that had real blowback. The Swiss checked out some of the fake stuff and said it was so good that it would be almost impossible to tell the difference. Trust the Swiss on this one.

  4. "Mommy, Johnny hit me!"

    "Nuh-uh! Billy hit my first!"

    "Liar!"

    "Did so!"

    "Did not!"

    "Did so!"

    [Ad infinitum]

  5. Blood and destruction shall be so in use
    And dreadful objects so familiar
    That mothers shall but smile when they behold
    Their infants quarter'd with the hands of war;
    All pity choked with custom of fell deeds:
    And Caesar's spirit, ranging for revenge,
    With Ate by his side come hot from hell,
    Shall in these confines with a monarch's voice
    Cry 'Havoc,' and let slip the dogs of war;
    That this foul deed shall smell above the earth
    With carrion men, groaning for burial.

    –from 'Julius Caesar' by William Shakespeare

  6. It REALLY pisses important people off if Iran ignores them, like it usually does. America can't stand being ignored.

  7. After knowing about this I was also chuckled that the Ayatollah swung back. And his statement that he had 100 ‘undeniable’ documents which are connecting the us terror acts in Iran and the Middle East.
