Who Has Been ‘Begging for War’?

US ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley says North Korea’s tests of increasingly sophisticated nuclear weapons and missiles amounts to “begging for war.”

So THAT’S what testing increasingly sophisticated nuclear weapons and missiles is! Thank you for the clarification, Ambassador Haley.

Is that what the US and the other nuclear weapons states have been doing for the past 70 years? Perhaps now we have some inkling of how we have been viewed by the rest of the world as we have brandished weapon after weapon after weapon . . . ?

(The video above is a 3 minute version of all nuclear detonations since 1945. I invite you to watch the unrelenting sequence of thousands of nuclear detonations by the US and other nuclear powers unfold in the original 14 minute version, if you have the stomach for it.)

“I think that North Korea has basically slapped everyone in the face in the international community that has asked them to stop,” Haley said. Yes, well . . . .

What, then, is the opposite of this way of “begging for war”? Perhaps becoming a party to the UN #nuclearban? Perhaps that is what countries “insisting on peace” are doing?

  1. President Trump, who is a good man in very many ways, is clearly a split personality. Nikki Haley was one of his Dr. Jekyll appointments. This woman is too dumb to walk and chew gum at the same time, and insists on showing it over and over again. It is beyond pitiful, but that is who she is and she will not change.

    1. YOU ARE WRONG THERE – NIKKI HALEY WAS EVIDENTLY A MR. HIDE APPOINTEE. MR.HIDE WAS THE EVIL CHARACTER AND DR. JEKYLL THE GOOD ONE.

    2. Can you please elaborate in what ways schoolyard bully Donald J Trump is a “good man?” I can’t think of one.

  2. The nuclear detonations map must now be extended to included the H-Bomb detonation in the DPRK last week. It is hard to believe a Military Junta like we have with the Trump administration could not clearly see that the mock invasions of the DPRK called Team Spirit have agitated the tensions on the Korean Peninsula, until you consider that the USSA Junta in Washington DC is also going to sale $Billions more to the ROK in weapons now that things are getting hot. Our Government is a perpetual war machine that will soon collapse through sustained corruption and warfare. It is time for us Libertarians to prepare to restore the Old US Constitutional Republic in the USSA’s after math.

  3. I don’t recall the US threatening other nations when we were developing nuclear weapons, I guess my history is faulty.

    1. We developed are nuclear bomb during WWII and it was important to keep them secret. And then we tested them on a couple Japanese cities for various reasons, one of which was to impress the Soviet Union that we had such a threat. Since then various American military and government figures threatened to use them during the Korean War, during our early support of the French in Indo-China, in our Vietnam war, and we have often adverse to using them by the transparent claim, made periodically, that in our dealings with various countries, “all options are on the table.” You should brush up on your history and not rely on the Parson Weems history stories meant to glorify all our actions.
