Just a week after President Trump told an Ohio audience that US troops would be removed from Syria “very soon” and brought back home “where they belong,” he has again changed his tune. After a neocon uprising in their various think tanks and journals and after a meeting with Defense Secretary Mattis, Trump did an about-face yesterday and grumbled that he’d keep them in for a while longer. Some say six months. Was Trump purposely misleading in Ohio, or is he really that pliable? Tune in to today’s Ron Paul Liberty Report:

If we brought back the draft and only allowed a small percentage to enlist, we would have far fewer and our wars would end far sooner because our so called leaders would have to answer to the people. As it is now somebody else pays the price so why should I care.
Vietnam established that precisely the opposite is true. Popular support or opposition can EVENTUALLY force a change at the top, but LBJ and Nixon were able to drag Vietnam out for a decade because they didn’t have to talk people into enlisting, they just drafted them.
That’s the practical effect, but even if it wasn’t, slavery is evil, conscription is slavery, and those who attempt to implement it should be tarred, feathered, and dragged behind trucks until their bodies come apart.
Senator Paul, It is time to put your cards on the table. Start exposing
the crimes of your fellow congressmen and ‘political cronies’. All are
guilty of crimes against humanity. Trump is draining the swamp. Either
wade out or it is down the drain.
