After a leak in the Wall Street Journal suggested a major reversal in US policy in Syria, President Trump confirmed in a Tweet this morning that the US was withdrawing from Syria. Starting immediately. Will the president follow through? What will the neocons do? Is there another false-flag danger? On today’s Ron Paul Liberty Report:

This is all nice and fine, and something to celebrate – but don’t celebrate too much. I still see a high risk of Trump getting us into a war with Iran. His cabinet is chock full of Iran hawks, and Trump himself has consistently taken a belligerent approach to Iran. It’s even possible that part of the reason for ending our wars in Syria/Afghanistan is to free up resources for a coming Iran war.
If Trump ends the current wars and avoids the Iran trap, he probably just won himself a second term. But I fear that’s a mighty big “if” at this point.
You also have to remember special forces are no longer counted as “troops” and CIA operatives never were.
