On COI #255, Kyle Anzalone and Connor Freeman discuss the latest Iran news, military spending in President Joe Biden’s massive 2023 budget request, and why the antiwar movement was right about the new Cold War with Russia.
Kyle covers Biden’s new sanctions imposed on Iran over their ballistic missile program and what this means for a U.S. return to the nuclear deal. Connor talks about Iran’s apparent refusal to accept a deal unless the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps is removed from the U.S. Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) blacklist. Secretary of State Antony Blinken was in Israel this weekend meeting with his Israeli counterpart as well as foreign ministers from Arab states who have “normalized” relations with Tel Aviv per the Abraham Accords. All parties involved used this occasion to promote further military integration aimed at Tehran. Tel Aviv is still doing its best to undermine America’s diplomacy with Iran.
Kyle covers a series of articles he wrote recently at the Libertarian Institute reporting on the $5.8 trillion 2023 budget request and all the welfare being doled out to the various bureaucracies and the military industrial complex. The Pentagon is receiving $11.2 billion for its cyberwarfare activities, an eight percent increase over last year’s budget. Kyle details how additional billions in war spending are being funneled through other bureaucracies like the State Department, including billions in further military aid to Israel, Jordan, and Egypt. The Navy is retiring multiple warships, many of which were built in recent years, and which are riddled with defects, only to “reinvest” the billions they claim to have saved on further maintenance of these useless, costly ships. The military budget is seeing an increase of over $30 billion. Absurdly, the Navy’s budget chief talks about this as if he is saving the taxpayers’ money.
Connor breaks down his latest Libertarian Institute column on why the antiwar movement did not “get it wrong,” but actually opposed all of Washington’s policies which in fact led to Russia’s war in Ukraine. The apologies should therefore be issued by the neoconservatives and liberal hawks who got us into this mess in the first place. Biden’s regime cultivated this war with aggressive policies including during the very days which preceded the invasion. The administration continues to implement policies which make the U.S. a clear belligerent in the conflict, prolong the Ukrainians’ suffering, and risk wider war.

It didn’t rise above water from the beginning. New boss, same as the old boss.
“Will Biden’s Latest Sanctions Sink the Iran Nuclear Deal?”
Ya think?
Big Brother the USA will always obey the orders given by her little Brother ISRAHELL!!
The return of JCPOA was a no starter to begin with:
1) We are into 15th month of Biden’s presidency and he could have returned unconditionally in the first two month
2) If you can’t guarantee that the next US administration doesn’t exit out of the deal, what is the point for Iran to commit itself to a new deal?
3) Israel and Saudi Arabia are the ones making decision for US, so right there this deal will not work out
4) Even if the deal gets signed tomorrow, which company in their right mind will get into Oil/Gas or any other contract with Iran knowing that in less than 2 years another administration will tear up the deal?
This is another bad policy where you are giving Iran on a silver platter to China because the senate and the house is controlled by Israel’s lobby at the expense of American interest.
Zibniew Brezenski warned us about this Iran sanction and the mistakes that have been made several times but know one dares to make the right move.
Say it ain’t so Joe!
