  1. What is amazing to me is the rapidity with which the EU switched the flip and went all in against Russia. Our misdeeds, murder, mayhem? Hah! Zilch. The EU (NATO) knew very well what was happening as the encirclement of Russia went on for 30 years, and, it is hard to believe that they did not have a clue that Russia would react badly to the threat to Russia’s security.

  2. Ukraine and Russia inherited something from the Soviet Union. Poor respect for humans and a superficial respect for the judiciary. Both countries are simply gangster states.

When the EU and the US now choose sides without concerns, questions or reflections, they are exposing themselves to future problems, for example related to war crimes. Ukraine has been much smarter than Russia in several respects. Ukraine makes all the right noises. For example. accusations of war crimes Ukraine says: “to be investigated”. While Russia denies everything, even that a full scale war is in full swing.

Sanctions against Russia have had a ZERO effect. Instead, the EU now fears food crisis and famine because both Ukraine and Russia account for a large share of the food that the EU imports. Fertilizers are also becoming more expensive and used more sparingly, which reduces harvests in Central Europe. What can go wrong?

In the medium term, it looks as if Russia can sanction the EU not the other way around.
