Actually I suspect the New York message was in reference to a dirty bomb explosion in New York. I wonder what they know. The advice they gave is only applicable to that sort of nuclear incident.
During a nuclear war you can run but you can’t hide. The shelters won’t give you security. You can’t spend the rest of your life there without ever leaving.
Americans are going to wake up to the danger of nuclear war between the flash and the blast wave.
