From Tales of the American Empire:
Official history pretends that the United States was surprised by the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. In reality, American President Franklin Roosevelt was seeking war with Japan to justify entering the war against Germany. He approved many plans to provoke war with Japan. The most aggressive was JB 355 that was secretly funded in August 1941 to send dozens of American bombers to China, painted with Chinese insignia, to bomb strategic targets in Japan. President Roosevelt approved this plan despite objections by General George Marshall and Secretary of War Henry Stimson. They considered it an illegal act of war that required valuable aircraft needed by Britain and American forces in the Philippines.

Interesting bit of history that I hadn’t heard of, despite having read Chennault’s book, which come to think of it was written before JB-355 was declassified. Nowadays of course it’s done pretty much in plain view and congress just votes how it’s told so we don’t have to mess around with a lot of democratic “will of the people” crap.
I preferred this article in the original German and Japanese.

Sep 3, 2017 The nuclear powers have conducted more than 2,000 nuclear test explosions
Since the first nuclear test explosion on July 16, 1945, at least eight nations have detonated 2,056 nuclear test explosions at dozens of test sites from Lop Nor in China, to the atolls of the Pacific, to Nevada, to Algeria where France conducted its first nuclear device, to western Australia where the U.K. exploded ..

Only russia and China tested their atomic weapons inside their own countries. The other anglo Saxon countries tested theirs on other peoples soil, France in Algeria, Uk in Australia and US in the south pacific. US, UK and France have polluted the Pacific Ocean to unprecedented heights and now Japan has added its own dirty water into the North Pacific. In addition US is the main contributor to the plastic contamination of the Pacific. So we in Asia, what are we to make of all this? US and its lackeys are the world’s no1 criminals. Genocide, human rights abuses, biological warfare, etc. You name it, they have done it.
Uh, OK, the first atomic bomb was detonated in New Mexico, USA, thank you very much, and google “Nevada Test Site” if you want to see all the nuclear blasts on US soil, so don’t accuse the US of only exposing other people to radioactive fallout because we contaminate ourselves too, except all the H-bomb tests were out in the Pacific so that just contaminated other people. Just to set the record straight there.
So you can see, Americans have been and are speaking with forked tongue for 200 years.
And yet somehow FDR is hailed as a hero, even by those who generally oppose war. Amazing how cognitive dissonance works. If we’re going to be tearing down statues…..
