General Lloyd Austin in his speech at the Reagan National Defense Forum spurns attempts to not allow and not pay for US military to do anything anywhere, which is much better then “drawing your bridges up” isolationism.

US commerce chief Gina Raimondo urged lawmakers, Silicon Valley and US allies to stop the Asian superpower from accessing advanced chips and other top technologies.
“I know there are CEOs of chip companies in this audience who were a little cranky with me when I did that, because you’re losing revenue. Such is life, protecting our national security matters more than short term revenue.” . .They were a little cranky because a quarter million tech jobs were lost this year, and profits are diving.
Long story short, the US promotes military involvement everywhere and top commercial products nowhere. . .ass-backwards, one might say.

In their fevered dreams. The U.S. & NATO have fallen dangerously behind Russia & China. The Ukraine fiasco is on life support militarily, monitarily & operationally. Zelinsky is losing Ukrainian support for his losing war. Wouldn’t it had been better for Ukraine if they had chosen neutrality and try to get along with Russia, not confront them.? Ukraine’s being destroyed physically demographically and economically viable state. It’s pretty much over except morning for the loss of a whole generation of young men. How many widows & fatherless kids? Who is going to care for them
