Armenian Christians Under Siege in Jerusalem: Interview With Kegham Balian

Armenian Christians living in the Old City in occupied East Jerusalem are facing pressure from an Israeli real estate company and Israeli settlers who want to take over a piece of the Armenian Quarter, which dates back to the 4th century. I interviewed Kegham Balian on the battle the ancient community is facing. Kegham is a writer, ceramicist, and media representative for Save the ArQ.

  1. Israel won't say denying genocide against the Armenians by the Turks is Anti Turkish but it would say that saying Jewish Settlers taking over the Armenian Quarter is antisemitic.

  2. I saw a video several months ago about the siege on Armenian Christians by the Zionists. As this article states, the Christians have been there since the 4th Century.
Will this wake up the Biden administration? I don't think so. In fact I know they will not.

  3. The Israeli Government is the most Racist, Anti-Christian, Anti-Freedom of Religion, Anti-Human Regime, just like the Nazi Regime was. Where is the Vatican? I don't believe in Organized Religion, but I do believe in Spirituality, respect for all Life and it is time for Christians to take a STAND against Zionist. We see the Muslims doing it, why don't the Christians? My father's family still reside in a Christian Village in Syria, thanks to President Assad protecting Christians, so what happened to Christian Biden, Christian Trump, Christian Republicans, Christian Black Americans?

  4. A church of the Melkite Greek Catholic Eparchy of Tyre, Lebanon, was hit by a missile from Israeli airstrikes in the country’s south Oct. 9, killing at least eight people, the British branch of the pontifical foundation Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) has reported.

Local sources told ACN that the church, located in the town of Derdghaya, was sheltering people displaced by the conflict. A priest’s house and a three-story building housing parish offices were also completely destroyed by another missile.
