  1. Another pointless question. First, Iran has said it will respond – and they should. Second. Netanyahu will perform more provocations until Iran does.

Get it through your heads. A US-Iran war is INEVITABLE. Read my lips.

    1. And we'll have this tiresome, "Moonlighting"-style "will they or won't they" cycle of [pithy retaliation -> pithy re-retaliation -> pith re-re-retaliation] leading up to The Big Thing No Side ACTUALLY Wants To Do.

I think it's because, ironically, the Powers That Be recognize that "the war to end all wars" actually might end all wars.

And as my late grandfather, a lifetime car salesman, would have noted, "You don't sell a customer a car. You sell that customer FIVE cars over thirty years."

More money in the long game.

        1. My hope is November 9th. Then there can be this whole “the world changed on 11/9” meme.

And the USA can formally join the war on the ASI side on November 11th, finally ending the failed tagline of (Commonwealth) Remembrance Day as a time to remember the grave dangers of entangling alliances and imperial lust for war.

Our Remembrance Day has basically just become a soldier-worship Veteran’s Day now (ever since OG 9/11). People now refuse to talk about the waste and horror and needlessness of war anywhere near Nov 11th, calling such debate “disrespectful to the troops”.

I can’t even bring myself to wear a poppy any more. It’s become a symbol of consent towards militarism.

    1. Under American philosophy, the Islamic Republic of Iran may either be punched, or RECEIVE punches.

I feel we're not far from the USA leering over the IRI at the UNSC, shouting "START PUNCHING YOURSELF ! START PUNCHING YOURSELF !!"

  2. Oct 28, 2024 "We Are in an Escalatory Cycle": Trita Parsi on Latest Israeli Attack on Iran, Risk of Wider War

We speak with Iranian American policy analyst Trita Parsi about Israel's latest attack on Iran on Saturday, when it bombed military facilities and air defense systems in the country. Iran said four soldiers were killed in the attack. Israel also struck air defense batteries and radars in Syria and Iraq. Israel's assault this weekend came about four weeks after Iran launched a missile attack on Israeli military sites in response to Israel's war on Lebanon and Israel's assassination of Hezbollah and Hamas leaders, part of a series of actions between the two countries since the outbreak of the war on Gaza last year.

  3. Both US and Iran do not want an extended war before or after election…! If US wanted a war with Iran they would have done it a long long time ago when Iran was weak militarily and not equipped itself with the today's sophisticated weapons… Even an Israeli false flag would not trigger a war with Iran… rather a potential response…! Because Israel knows a war with Iran doesn't result in more land grab for the Zionist regime…! Only a war with Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Egypt may land them more lands…!
