One phone call could bring it to an end within minutes: "Hey, Z, we're not sending anything else- no weapons, no money, no nothing. Forget about ever joining NATO. Good luck. See ya, wouldn't want to be ya."
This is probably what it's going to boil down to eventually anyway (and probably sooner than later), so why not drop the charade and end this thing?
Biden won't make the call to end the war, neither will Harris if she is elected. Trump said different things about the war if he is elected: 1. He said he'd negotiate with Putin and Zelensky to end the war. 2. He'd let the Europeans decide how to handle the war. 3. He'd be tougher on Russia than he was in his 1st term.
I'm curious to know. If Harris loses tomorrow, what likely "poisoning the well" should we expect Biden and the Dems to do between Wednesday and Inauguration Day if Trump wins ?
What we should expect is an interesting question. But I’ve written about what I’d like to see. If it doesn’t show up in Antiwar.com in the next day or so, I’ll link to it elsewhere.
I do hope for a clear and decisive outcome either way. Definitive, beyond doubt.
As to Red or Blue, my hope rests on neither.
No matter how clear and decisive the outcome is, a significant percentage of Americans will believe (depending on who wins and who loses) that it was rigged and/or fraudulent and/or influenced by malign foreign actors.
And it’s hard to blame them. America has been picking at that scab almost continuously ever since SCOTUS stole the presidency for Dubya in 2000.
I would call this outcome decisive.
The only thing to blame is Trump voters, the GISS (Gullible, Ignorant, Selfish, Stupid) Army.
Yes, it’s decisive.
But I don’t really blame the 22% of Americans who voted for Trump, or the 21% of Americans who voted for Harris, as much as I blame the 57% of Americans (myself included) who continue to put up with this nonsense. I’d like to see the following system adopted:
1) Let the political parties choose their nominees in any way they see fit — and if that way is through primary elections, let the political parties pay the costs of those elections instead of shifting that cost to the taxpayers.
2) Hold a general election.
3) The losers receive their choice of deportation or execution.
4) The winner gets a four-year all-expenses vacation to the Dry Tortugas, to which the White House has been moved, and over which a complete communications blackout has been imposed.
Here’s $500 million – can you have your plan in place by 2028 ?
Why, are you considering running for president? ;-)
I’m not now – nor have I ever been – a convicted felon. That, and the not-US-born, disqualifies me. Also, I’m 48, not 84.
Lovely… cowards here…

They wanted to serve a higher cause. And they just die for corporate greed…
I saw a truck the other day with “my daughter is in the navy” and “my son is in the army” (I might have this wrong.) They’re serving a higher cause…
