No it wasn’t a mistake we lost, eventually you just have to man up and admit it.
Gen. Petraeus learned nothing at all. That is a big problem with the nations elite. They are intellectually and morally bankrupt. The best education money can buy, and they learned nothing. No introspection from the man, same as the president and his cabal and the Russophobes in the Blinken SD. Iraq and Afghanistan and he learned nothing.
As a nation we are in deep trouble.

The economists write that the reserves are crucial for Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB), as the central bank is called, to function. And, without an operational central bank, the Afghan economy is not able to work properly, with many unable to receive salaries and the government unable to perform basic monetary duties and limited in paying for imports.

I served in Vietnam. Our elites have never learned or forgot the painful lessons from that debacle. Doing the same things over again and again and expecting a different result is the definition of a person who has lost touch with reality. All these elites are career sociopaths.
