Israelis Riot To Free IDF Torturers

Warning:   This has graphic narrative content, discretion is advised.

Yesterday, Israeli police detained Israeli soldiers who were suspected of raping a Palestinian prisoner at the notorious Sde Teiman prison in southern Israel.  Israeli soldiers at the facility refused to leave and barricaded themselves in. They also reportedly used pepper spray on the military police.  Members of the Israeli Knesset joined protesters as they stormed Sde Teiman.

Antiwar.com news editor Dave DeCamp wrote up this story last night.

Video below is from Breaking Points today:

The reaction of Israeli officials is described in this video, it is appalling.

  1. Richard Medhurst covered this in detail yesterday. He could barely stop laughing with glee at how the entire Israeli society has been exposed as a rapist, racist, fascist, militarized, neo-Nazi, terrorist society, let alone state.

The Israeli state makes Idi Amin's state look like the Vatican (not that the Vatican doesn't have its own sordid history.)

Which makes the US government equally sordid. But then if anyone's paid attention to US history, this has been true almost since its inception and before. The US was NEVER a "shining beacon on a hill" or any of that other crap one is taught in US schools. It's just another utterly fucked up society ruled by an utterly fucked up state – which is what you get from an utterly fucked up society – which is what you get from utterly fucked up humans.

    1. Don’t hold back Richard, tell us what you really think!
      I’m sending you a hug!

    2. "The Israeli state makes Idi Amin's state look like the Vatican" You hit the nail on the head!!!! Norman Finkelstein, Gideon Levy, Aaron Mate', et al, are right in their judgement of Israeli society. And the Zionists call Palestinans "animals", "vermin". Are the images and the newscaster's description shown on Israeli tv?

  2. Animals and its obedient and devout followers . Did the knesset member ,jealous of the soldiers try to get into the action?

  3. No mention of occupation of Gaza for 70 years. NO mention of the brutal blockade of 17 years. No mention of killing of Palestinian children (from 2000 to 7Oct 2300 Palestinian children were killed by the IDF). I can understand his epiphany, but he needed to cite these facts as he know them now. He also needs to have a conversation with Gideon Levy, Norman Finkelstein or ILan Mate'.
